im not fully sure of what happened because of the medias twist on everything, you never really know the truth, but i do know the man killed someone an seriously injured 2 others. Im amazed the police didnt just shoot him where he stood cos i know i would have!

I get what you are saying but I think he did intend to die. I think he wanted death by cop. The police didn't want him to die, otherwise they would have shot to kill, not tazered. It's all a big mess but I am sure of one thing, I am glad I had no part of it!

I think that a lot of questions are unanswered.. the police have, however, admitted to the tazer and I know that when I watched or rather listened to the final video prior to the shot being heard there was a horrible scream which Moats friend said was Moat, then a shot was heard followed by lots of shouting and dogs barking. I think that possibly he was tazered causing him to scream then his gun was discharged.

If he intended to take his own life then that was his choice but if the police were responsible for his actions and this is proven to be true after the inquiry then I feel that somebody should face a charge of unlawful killing.

And this is why I no longer wish to be trained as a firearms officer.

I do not agree with use of tazers. I feel they are a cruel and unusual punishment with huge possibilities of misuse.

In this case noone would have complained if they'd have just shot him in the head.* It's a fair game, live by the sword, get shot by someone who doesn't.

It would have been humane, dignified and justified.

*Well, they would, but we call these people retards. Ignore them and they go away.

Well if they had shot him in the head without reason then I would complain and i`m not a retard!

How can unjustified killing whatever the circumstances be either humane, dignified or justified??? please explain

someone in front of you with a loaded shotgun... he has already killed and attempted to kill.
They are a real and present danger to you.

"Put the gun down or I'm going to put a 556 through your brain"
BANG

Simple path and simple result in my mind?

But you`ve not answered my question

How is unlawful killing humane, dignified and justified?

Fact that they are a real and present danger to you means it is not unlawful.

Sorry Chris can`t agree with you on that one, if a policeman fires the first shot then unfortunately it is an unlawful killing and therefore cannot possibly be humane, dignified and justified.

Ok... go point a realistic looking BB gun at armed cop and see what happens.

Fact he has honest belief of a real and present danger to his safety means he is fine to shoot you.

Not "fine" of course, inquest, investigation, what have you... but still, you can't say that's unlawful. You CANT expect a reasonable person to not respond with deadly force to a deadly threat.
