GG,---Re Authorised vehicles only,[Not POLICE VEHICLES ONLY]common usage by staff? did she have authority to park her bike there,a fair bit of difference in the implication of the signage.

Re: Help for MBK's bike please...new parts needed.
MBK or Cheryl - I'm a car trimmer by trade and still have most of my old tools and equipment. If MBK needs the seat recovering with a new vinyl panel, I can easily do it for the cost of the postage here and back. I have loads of vinyl kicking around and it'll take me 10 minutes to do.
As far as the bodywork goes, there is a fantastic painter near Bolton I know who is very affordable and can do an exact colour and decal match with proper plastic welding you'd never see. He's the son of a friend of mine and all the guys from one of the groups I subscribe to send their bike bits to him. I've seen lots of his work and you can't tell the difference between what he's done and the factory stuff. Drop me a line if you need more info. R+G will supply bungs separately if required, I have bought them like this myself in the past. MBK also needs to check the end of the clutch lever and handlebar end to see if they are scuffed - most of the time these bits will polish up or be easily repainted back to original standard. While she's at it she should also check out the footrest hanger on that side, they bend inwards quite easily when they are dropped. It really shouldn't cost fortunes to put it all back to as it should be, the biggest expense will be getting the tailpiece to as new. By the way, speaking as service manager of a Kawasaki dealership, this will not affect the warranty on the whole bike, but the tailpiece won't be covered if repaired, nor will the seat if that gets repaired rather than replaced. |
Re: Help for MBK's bike please...new parts needed.
I have heard of R & G sending out free bungs to people if you write to them.
