Its 25mph, and yes I would say so. Most of the lanes I go on are impossible any faster.

:smt102 thanks but thats where i've been looking, keeps coming up with the same crap about registered users see more detail. Not sure what like!

There is a 3km restriction on the radius you can search.

Once found click the track, then a box will pop up, click the UID. You will get a page like this

http://www.trailwise.org.uk/do_quick...?uid=SP7775-01

It contains all the info you need on usability of the track.

At the bottom it still says "Registered users see more detail!", but I'm not sure what that detail is or why you need it. Maybe Tigersaw can fill us in on that one.

If that is all you see there is probably no info available on the track.

Additional details are authority records and links to them, user info entered by those using the track, evidence entries - used as proof the lane is in use for legal challenges, links to OS maps, sometimes more.
Registered users can amend the database (as I try and do), have access to better searches, ability to export (download) overlays. There might be more, not sure.

Legal green laning is almost non-existent in Scotland mate. Very few legal rights of way. Get permission from a landowner (if you could get permission from the forestry commission you'd be laughing).

I am now a fully fledged member of TRF :D and am a bit hyper about getting up to the lakes, I better get my **** into gear with the DTR

http://www.cumbria.gov.uk/roads-tran...ils_Routes.asp is brilliant gives you all the lanes marked out in corresponding colours and gives all the detail you'd ever need  shame the same cant be said for local councils round here

I'm not interested in going to meetings and stuff, and don't really need info on trails, I've found most of that for myself (I think! Unless the TRF are really good at keeping secrets?) so to date haven't joined a group. And partially because as I don't have the time to commit to meetings, I didn't know if I would be better to join GLASS or CRAG instead?

That looks really good, well done Cumbria

After much **** taking aimed in Speedplay's direction, I'm seriously considering a towbar and three bike trailer, so Wales, Yorkshire Dales and Lake District are within reach on a day trip.
