Zig good to hear your doing ok given the siuation.

What can I say some good tecnqiue there in getting the cyclist:cool: I cycle in london, but the amount of ******* cyclist one won't be missed.

As for getting the cyclist who casued this, I think they should cough up clealy from your descrption they were at fault. I would have though that these Boris bikes, are insured and would assume that they have some 3rd person libaility somewhere down the line.

When the police came, did they ask you for a first account of what happend? They should have done that, it would have been in a yellow book as you were injured. Both you and the cyclist should have given a first account of what happend and also a caution plus three interview should have taken place.

You may be able to get a copy of the report, however I'm sure they will be charge there normal is.

That should be enough to establish what happened. A more in depth statement should be required further down the line if a criminal proseuction is take place, thought I'm not sure of the exact details are for civil court, maybe small cliams court? Though the evidence required may vary. Let me know if you need any help.

SK is right. They do have 3rd party liability insurance (with a £250 excess for the cyclist)

Let's hope that CCTV caught it and you can make a successful claim.

Hey buddy. Chris8886 sends his best wishes from his hospital bed - frankly I'm getting a bit fed up of spending ALL of my taxes on keeping you lot happy in NHS establishments.

If you do decide to put the bike back together then I have a clear screen at home which I kept after I swapped mine for a black one.

What a strange morning - get smidsy'd by a pedestrian, fell and smacked my hip on the corner of a marble step and got carted off to hozzie in an ambulance, only to be met at the door by Zig, closely followed by Mike = impromptu Soho meet @ St Thonas' on a Monday morning.
I think I got the best drugs tho, and managed to have all 3 emergency services attending to me at once. I did keep sending Mike to check on Zig too.
At home resting now but will have some good bruises to look forwards to.
Zig's armour certainly did it's job from what I could see.
