Cheers
:)

I called CC yesterday and they were quite cautious about telling me I could wear textiles for the BikeSafe track experience.
After the nice lady went to consult with someone else, she said it was best to ring BikeSafe directly because CC always require full leathers.

I'd tried to call BikeSafe earlier but the number appeared to be disconnected.

Thinking of getting a set myself. Saving up for a new helmet and some touring cash, but don't think I can manage to get some decent leathers anytime soon.

As its not too far away I'm up for it, assuming I don't have to go buy a leather jacket just to participate.

I'm guessing that the one for £99 is for a whole day of track safety riding. The £30 is just a fee for the track taster session you get after the 1hr assessed ride on the BikeSafe day.

The £30 BikeSafe day is really just a taster session. Assessed ride by the Police followed by a track session. The £99 day will be longer and in more detail, however I've not done this one.

it shouldn't effect your insurance in the slightest as it doesn't cover you on things like trackdays (usually!). same with if you bin it, you'll need to push it to the exit of the track etc cos recovery compnaies probably won't recover you!

I doubt very much that it would bring your insurance down but worth asking them. I wouldn't do or not do additional training based on insurance discounts.

even if it does bring down your insurance, im sure their 'admin fee' will just happen to be the same amount ;)
