As am I. Although I haven't cleaned any bikes yet, as usually that goads the rain god into crying..... a lot :smt075

As for the tax disc, I thought they'd scrapped displaying them now

well that's me sorted, bike sitting there with it's new boots on waiting for the off in the morning, tent and panniers waiting to go on, even borrowed a gel seat pad (worth a try), won't see home again until next thursday, planned 1,200-1,400 mile week, should be fun...

Your old bike, however, is all togged up with luggage in a car park in central London ready to roll.

I found myself thinking my knees ached on the way home yesterday. This does not bode well.

Step 1: have a shower and a shave, not gone well. Look like I've been attacked by a small mammal due to my razor taking a beating in the panniers and having to resort to using a bic.

Step 2: Wash off 3 days of bikes attempts to rid Scotland of the dredded midge.

Step 3: Ride leisurely scenic route to campsite.

Looks like you'll be stretching your legs out to the rear pegs quite a bit then.
When i had the SV i found it helped on longer stretches so i wasn't walking like a prison inmate when i got there.
