I have also got a similar type of phone, with a decent battery life that means it can go more than half a day without battery going flat ( I used to get 'smart phones' for company phones, so am not unfamiliar with them, used to p!ss me off when I was expected to answer emails after work, come holiday time my works phone was turned off and in a drawer - never went with me, I always kept work and personal phone totally separate - unlike some people #%* - if you inherited their SIM card you would get personal calls for them long after they had left the company).

The way people have let phones rule their life is appalling, people are so rude and inconsiderate - I am sick to death of people messing with their phones in the cinema and theatre (not just in the breaks, but screens flashing on and off all the way through performance), and don't get me started on people who still think they can drive safely and answer the phone (handsfree or not, it makes little or no difference).

i agree.

up here though ****ing people off in the cinema with your phone usually gets you a smack in the mouth so its not done often, same goes for chatting or making a nuisance of yourself :D

It is worth saying that IMHO most peoples phones are way smarter than the owner, more than once I have had people just walk into the road in front of me, they are so intent on their phones that all else disappears, and as I said previously don't start me on people who use phones while driving - I hope they get a 'smack in the mouth' in Scotland as well.

I have used a dashcam now for a few months now, one day I will get video of someone using a phone behind the wheel, and I know exactly where that clip will be going, just wish more people would do it. The other day I followed a Corsa that nearly hit the kerb twice and was also over the centre white line a few times, driver was either in the middle of an epileptic fit or using the mobile, but too many headrests in the way to see.

The WhatsApp ping wasnt from my phone, it was from the wife's. Mine goes silent at night and rarely makes a sound in the day as the volume is usually low or off. Important callers have a louder ring in the daytime and over ride the night setting.
Most people don't get how clever their phone is. I use mine a lot but not often for calls. It's my newspaper, my stereo, my comms, my remote control for several buildings, weather station, computer when I'm traveling, camera etc

My gripe has to be...
Multipacks of crisps. Why does the big bag have to be made of a material that rips so easily? It just tears and spills all the smaller bags over the floor.

Just buy a big bag and refuse to share.
