Re: Next phone and maybe (finally?) going contract.
I've had the HTC Magic Android based phone for nearly a year....love it.
Always looking for new apps on the Market. Get Task Killer and add the widget to a screen...shows what's open/running and kills apps with one touch. |
Re: Next phone and maybe (finally?) going contract.
Just installing pocket empires.....looks v good. Looks a bit like evony. Perhaps we should have an SV alliance.....what world you in TAZDAZ Server 1 or 2 Phoenix or Dragon
Anyone recommend a good flash player for android. Radiant Lite (love the graphocs) and Robo defense are pretty good games. |

Ive played with my friends iphone 3Gs at the same time, here is what I thought: -Ugly both physically and OS wise. -Slow, most things take longer to do. -Screen, with its low res you have to zoom in a lot more, looks washed out colours, no where near as deep and vivid as the Desire. Also a lot of the screen is lost to options, desire doesnt because of the extra hard buttons being able to bring up options. -No extractable battery, Desire is and you can buy another for £20! How much for an apple, £140? heh. -Infact the only advantage the iphone possesses is its extra apps, has about 4 times what the androids have, so if you convert over to android you lose the only advantage. -Itunes, what a crap piece of software, hate it. The Desire can synch to my computer using software but I can use the phone as a flash drive and so transfer files very easy. -Apple, just having to deal with them at all is a major drawback, ignorant arogant dicks work in that shop! Anything the Iphone 3GS can de the desire can do it... and often better. Overall, you can keep your 'superior iphone' ill nod and smile when you tell me how amazing it is. Quote:

I tried to steer clear of the iphone as I dont like apple.
The fact is that I now have one for work and a personal one too. They do everything I need and more. It is a shame about battery life though but then I can always charge it at work, in the car, on the bike.... |

Having used both, I'd say (and I don't really want to!) that Greek boy has got it right. Once the apps are in place, which won't take long now, it'll trounce the iPhone 3g s, but I have a funny feeling, that the next gen iPhone will raise the bar once again!
