Surely belief in one means you need to believe in the other by default? ;)

Think I'd personally go to hell - thats where the types of girls I like would probably end up :)

[quote=tricky;1183309]I didn't actually put what I ment that well.
Those are not strictly "christian" values they are just values of good citizenship

It just seems to me that the majority of people today don't uphold these values whereas good christaians do.

I believe in a higher power, if you need a name for that then "God" will do. I dont believe that when you die you go to heaven / hell, but I believe that you have a soul and that it goes somewhere, I just don't know where that is !!!

I dont believe whats written in the bible, most of it is rubbish IMHO. Its at best a damn good story. I dont like all the things that go with some churches, if you want to go to church, then go, if you believe in it and it gives you comfort so much the better. Going to church to get one over on other people and to make yourself better than your peers in the wrong reason for going to church.

I dont believe that my future is mapped out for me, I believe that I have the power to change my future through my own action or inaction.

I believe in treating people equally and fairly, but I dont always do this. I also believe that I have to look after myself and those closest to me first.

I like Vipers idea of church and what he has, in that its the centre of a community where like minded individuals go and gain support from each other, but I also think that you dont need a church to achieve this.

I worked in a company run and staffed by born again christians, my boss was fair and decent, but he tried to run his business on christian principles and ultimately he lost a lot of money. I've studied on an Alpha course and really looked into it all, but I had a lot of questions that nobody could answer to my satisfaction at which point I decided it wasnt for me. But they gained an immense amount of strength and comfort from it and I respected them for it and also they didnt try and ram it down my throat but tried to encourage me to find out what they were all about for myself.

Morality isn't some kind of universal truth. To say moral things are based on christian values is meaningless, it just happens that most peoples view on what morality is and what christian values are just happen to match. Not surprising, since we live in a country where christianity is the main religion.

Nope. There's only evil around.

I don't really believe in devils. I just like to blame them for the little ****ty things that happen.

Oh, if you do go to hell, you'll won't be socialising with the naughty females. ;)
