Re: The running thread.
Out again yesterday morning with my mate up the road. We were a bit pushed for time so just a short 3.7 mile run around my usual loop. I'm hoping to get out for a longer run tomorrow morning.

Re: The running thread.
I left it a bit late tonight and wasn't really feeling it so just did a half loop

A fellow canicross runner has just messaged me to ask if I want to go on a run with her tomorrow morning. We're going for a run over the Breidden and Middletown hills not far from Welshpool. There will be a lot of ascent and descent involved! |
Re: The running thread.
Absolutely cracking run out today with a friend and the hounds. 8.3 miles in the Breidden Hills, taking in Rodney's Pillar at Criggion, the gypsy memorial at Moel y Golfa, and the hillfort on Middletown Hill. 2749ft of elevation in all, in great conditions.
Forgot to take my Garmin, so I'm waiting for my friend to send me the gpx file. I'll post a link to Strava when I have it, along with some of the pictures I took. **Edit** Had the gpx file from my friend now so Strava link to the run included above. **Edit2** Link to the Relive vid of my run. |
Re: The running thread.
I finally got back to my running this week, couple of short runs tried running a bit quicker. Was a bit quicker but knackered after a 5k run

Already booked a 10k race at Mercedes Benz world next month |
Re: The running thread.
If you want higher speeds/faster pace over shorter distances then run longer distances as training. Only 20% of your total run should be at your maximum pace. The other 80% should be split equally between easy and moderate pace.

Re: The running thread.
Wow I haven't been for a run in two weeks!! WTF.

Re: The running thread.
I've not had the chance to run since last Thursday either. Really need to get out there.....
