On the other hand if he's stressed about a possible kicking maybe he'll get nervous and do something silly? If he's that keen to keep onto his money why does he keep putting expensive bits of bike on the floor?:smt064 Jambo |

Re: There are Lies, Lies and Advertising...... Soukiss down
More tea and sympathy from Mr Ed:(
Just look at the bulk of that RR against your SV. She should pick on something her own size! She plainly didn't see you. I confess that I probably wouldn't have thought that there could be a bike behind the car in lane 2 either. *Makes mental note to think of this in future* |
Re: There are Lies, Lies and Advertising...... Soukiss down
The big problem is with "part-time" bus lanes.
That bus lane is only in use for 1/8 of a day, 5/7th of the days of the week. That makes 15 hours out of 168 - so 5/56/th - so less than 1/8th of the time. Yet, it gets painted red, signs every junction to remind you of when its in service or not, and in the case of this one, the bus lane divided in two, with the half nearest the pavement also marked up as a bike lane. So this means that this situation arises, the woman in the car was very much in the wrong lane to make that turn, she should have been in the lane I was in. But drivers are afraid to enter a bus lane as if they get the timing wrong it can be an cash expensive mistake with fines. No excuses for anyone, but it is obvious how it can happen. Bus lanes are a waste of time, especially the ones only for 3 hours in the morning and/or evening, as at that time cyclists are crowding the lanes, forcing buses into the non-bus lanes..... |
