Try it on a bike with 80's suspension. Put hair on your chest.

Yeah, not good aye....especially when you're coming back into urban roads from a nice little ride...everything is in slow mo

I can see me making a purchase this summer following some test rides regardless of what is best for me, the little boy in my will take over

Yeah, I was referring to a sports kwak in Reeders possession though

Obviously you're a more sensible rider, or atleast sensible when it matters :D

edit: mind you have you seen the speeds the 2011 gsx-r 6 can achieve (almost 180mph on the clocks): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FslaVtOPM4

I may have points galore, but I like to think that I'm a capable enough rider and dont do anything too dangerous ;)
I'd be fine on a sports 600... its when I get a litre in the future you'll need to start worrying about me

I'm sure you're capable but if you get too many points you'll lose your licence, simples...just saying...I think you're best staying on the SV like me for a bit longer...
I am saying all this, what's the betting next time I'm out I get pulled

You just need to know when and where to give it some, remember the golden rules in a 30 do 30, in a 40 do 40, in a 50 do 50 and in 70 as long as it's clear do xxx - enter number here.

Not really, have thought about the Z1000 and where it is a capable bike, it just has no pizaz or sparkle.

What bike I have will make no difference tbh. If it goes over 70 I'm able to get points  to be honest my points have been accrued for stupid things. 3 for going through a red light (11:30 at night, had just turned red and no one was about other than an unmarked traffic cop), 3 for going a bit too fast in a 40:smt083 (which I now don't do really), 3 for going 90 on the A14 at 10:30pm on a sunday night again with an unmarked traffic cop and then the final 3 points were for not going fast enough really... :smt083

I've realised over the years that there isn't really any point going quicker than you should in areas that are less than 50 or 60. It's the main place where people get caught, and I've never ever seen a policeman with a speed gun round any twisties... so kinda goes to prove that it's where the 'quicker' riding should be done - Just gotta watch out for those unmarked police bikes we now have patroling!. Now I've got a slower car too it helps keep the speed down also.

My thoughts on approaching it at first, it was naked, which I didnt want, but it was one of the 0% Credit options when I had to replace my "dead" SV.

Give it a go tho, the engine/fuelling has been described as the best FI they have ever tried by someone on here who has ridden many bikes over the years.
