I've got a spare of the 35-70 macro. It's got scratches on the front element but I tried it out and they didn't affect image quality. I had a look at it earlier and there's fungus in it but as I say the pics I took using it came out OK.
If you're interested, you can have it. You could swap the front element with the mouldy one you have.

Found it! It was in the loft. Mine has fungus deep down inside that I couldn't get to.

I packed the lens up today and went to send it off. Discovered the local PO has closed, which is a real pain as it was open 7am-10pm 7 days a week.
Will send it tomorrow from a different one.
