Well given this new data that basically she has found someone new/better and running off with them and that is the only reason old bloke is getting dumped - not simply finally plucked up the courage to end an unhappy relationship i.e. finally been very brave - I am glad you chicks can still be so supportive ..

Perhaps I am missing more information, but I see this as something completely different now ..

Anyway, at the end of the day Mon needed to break free and lets hope this new relationship works out for her!! 8)

Just a little disappointed she is not being as brave as I first though, that’s all ;)

No this really is not the case and you've got the wrong end of the stick. Mon has not done anything wrong but IMO (sorry babe) she's not putting her case very clearly. It all a chicken - egg/ cause - effect issue. Suffice to say that some people may look when they're unhappy, not the other way around. Sometimes it takes hindsight to see what's happening

Re: relationships...how do you know it's over?

The decision was made before the thread I suspect?

Infidelity from either party would be an instant relationship killer for me, which is why I will never do it.

But otherwise in the case of a broken relationship, so long as you tried hard to fix it and didn't just let it all slide away when things got difficult you can justify it to yourself and thats helps to avoid regret later on.

Good luck.
