Skip's having a baby. I didn't think you had it in you, Funny, nor did Mrs Skip. Are you going to call it Joey.

Relaxing with some home made cider :) Just the job.

After my car flashed its warning lights and told me to turn the engine off I checked the coolant, and to my surprise it looked empty. So I got some anti-freeze to fill it up, only to find that its full! Why design a car where you can't see how much coolant or screenwash is in there unless its full?!

I think a dose of Bromide is in order for this over sexed thread. Bring on the warmer weather so you lot can go and get some proper riding done.

Sounds like you're all bored, and needing to release some pent up tension

Just cos you've spent the last couple of days shacked up in Liverpool with Miss April!! Now who needs the bromide:p?

I'm not jealous, whilst the lovely Miss April is indeed very appealing, she hasn't got what i'm after ;).

The good news is that my little boy has finally stopped talking to God down the big white telephone and weather permitting im hoping to get out on the bike tomorrow or thursday, its in the garage wired up to its optimiser in eager anticipation :p:p:p It had a new rear tyre on a couple of days after christmas and i haven't even had chance to scrub it in yet :( Fingers crossed [-o<

I've got to prepare mine for its MOT... I really hope there's nothing major. Interestingly, the same fork seal they replaced last time needs doing again. And I need a clutch lever as I cut the end off mine not realising that's an MOT fail... Then there's the front brake disc, which could possibly be slightly warped. Eeek.

could be worse mines refusing to start hopefully its just a knackered battery, tried recharging it but still no working so i'm going to get a new one this weekend and hopefully it'll work. Plus i still need to fix my speedo think its the rotor but until then a tank bag with a sat nav in will do.

Is there anyone near you who could lend you a battery just to try, it'd be expensive and a shame to replace it to find thats not the problem.

Note to SeanC: 2 non-smutty posts in a row, i'm on my very best behaviour :-)

battery needs placing anyway really so i might as well get a new one now and see if it fixes it. I'm not to bothered by the problem how hard can the electrics on a SV be compared to a fighter jet

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

I've just been out, only done a 20 mile round trip but thats 20 miles more than ive done this last fortnight:p. Its dark and i was nervous for the first ten mins (cos im a numpty and was worrying about the new rubber) and its absolutely fffrrreeeezzzzing but the only bit of me that was cold was my face, assuming ive still got it cos i cant actually feel it :smt107

Is it socially acceptable for girls to wear balaclavas??? I need to google and find a red girlie one so i dont look totally like a bank robber!!

2 Attachment(s)
OMG I just looked at ebay and this is what i found, which look do you think i should go for?

Attachment 6010Attachment 6011

The first would appear to offer more support and protection, whilst the second offers more freedom.......decisions, decisions!!

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

Well ordered a battery and pick it up on friday so hopefully that'll be the only problem with the electrics really can't be bothered with messing about with wires on my bike at the weekend after doing it all week at work...

Glad to hear you got out - I made a start taking my bike to bits last night - need an impact drive to get the bar end off though - something I don't have

I was out and about last weekend and what made me really smile was the kids in the high streets. "Daddy daddy, look a motorbike". Another kid give me the thumbs up so I waved back as I passed. The other thing I've not realised I missed was bikers acknowledging each other. Every bike I saw give me a nod or a wave as it passed. It was so great to go somewhere and not be in the car. :D

Funny you should mention that because at work we have moved factory's to one that's got a long, dirt style farm track. So next time I go to work on the bike I'll be able to get my off roading fix. ;)

Liverpool's potholes are above and beyond anything I'd previously encountered.

Thats so you slow down and they can car/bike jack you

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

We're aiming to get out saturday but my confidence has suffered a bit having done so few miles over the last couple of months, i was just finally getting the hang of it oct/nov time when everything went pear shaped and the bike came to rest in the garage.

I really wish i could be like Jeff (and probably you guys). He was back in the saddle for the first time in over two months today and you'd think he' never got off, whilst ive reverted back to how i was on the hunny trip, riding like a total numpty. I guess the only way to get it back is to clock up as many miles as poss....... oh well, lifes a b1tch :D

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread

hopefully, haven't been out for a while now, would be really nice just to hear it run. Theres a few other things i want to do to it but nothing to major. Hopefully by the end of the weekend i'll either be out on it or i'll know whats wrong with it and will be in the process of putting it right.
