Hiya Girls!
The Ex has swapped nights so that he is having the children on Saturday. Other half has just informed me he intends to go out on the **** and doesn't want me along for the ride. Bliddy cheek. So I am not only child-less but partner-less. Have the choice of doing something local with ma homies or coming up to play with you lot?? I have read through the thread and really not grasping the whole thing. Is it basically a girls night of dressing up and doing hair and make-up? |

VT came up with the rather splendid idea to get forum girls together who are interested in Burlesque - but don't worry if you don't know much about it/have all the gear, as quite a few of us don't! There's a main event in March where we're hoping to have lots going on, tutorials, photo, etc. This one is a smaller event (to tide us over as we couldn't wait til March!) and is about us getting together for a nice girlie weekend, sharing tips and ideas, trying stuff out, learning more about burlesque and having some nice pics done too if you like :D PM VT if you want to join us, she will give you details, and ideas of things to bring along. Would be nice to have you along! |

The christmas show is essentially a demonstation of most of the classes held this term by Dancehouse. This year its being held at the Grand Ole Opry in Glasgow and we need to put some work into it as there is only 6 of us and i'm at the front of the stage. We're doing a paraody of the Red Shoes ballet. Looking forward to it mnd you!

Amanda, yes its a late morning start and overnight sleepover, with the girls leaving on Sunday morning.
It will include makeovers with hair and make up being done then if you want we have our .org photographer who will be along later in the afternoon to take some snaps of us in our glad rags with our hair and make up done. Should be fun, we are going to order Chinese and for those who have a tipple, a few drinks. Chatting,sharing of ideas and discussion of all things burlesque, pin up and girly shall occur. Like I said the other day, its a sleepover party for grown up girls. You are welcome to join us, PM me for address if you want Basically we are going to meet tomorrow at around 10am then do hair, have lunch and then do make up and dress up. Bring whatever you want photos taken in even if its not anything burlesque this is strictly a fun night for us all and we will be doing the proper burlesque weekend in March. |
