Sorry, can't make it as I've got a training event in Liverpool.

I'll be passing on the way, but I'll have colleagues in tow, plus a bloomin big trailer attached to our VW van

You could still come to the Christmas meal - you wont get too much stick for coming by car ;)

Re: EAR turkey and trimmings...

Sorry, for me its simply too close to the wedding and will take over an hour to get there, I desperately want to be a bigger part of the EAR next yr though.

Sorry for now :-(

Re: EAR turkey and trimmings...

To all those not replying, would a change of date/ venue make a difference? Maybe the 13th somewhere more central to the region? If its too expensive we dont need to have xmas dinner, coke and chips is fine by me!! Your thoughts please....

Re: EAR turkey and trimmings...

Good call Kelly - just a general meet up at some point between now and Christmas is fine

Sean_C 06-11-09 05:19 PM

Re: EAR turkey and trimmings...

I cant commit to this as I've got too many weekends filled already and there are a couple of things that im committed to but the dates arent set yet.

Sorry KJ, any December Sunday is a no-no for us, that's when the Toy Runs are held. :(

It's the Ace Cafe on the 13th.

maviczap 06-11-09 06:26 PM

Re: EAR turkey and trimmings...

13th is better for me, as I'm off that weekend but also depends on what the wife is doing shift wise.

My babysitter is AWOL too, which complicates things.

Dates are fine for me, it's just the distance that's too great for me. Good going kj. 100 points for making such a good effort to get everyone together.

Re: EAR turkey and trimmings...

Whats going on then? Yesterday morning I had to scrape ice of my car - brrr! Still I think we should make the effort for a meet before Christmas - I am up for it whether it be chips and a brew or whatever.

Whos with me?

kellyjo 10-11-09 03:33 PM

Re: EAR turkey and trimmings...

Well i think the meal is probably a no-go so i suggest we find a pub mid region and meet up for a mulled wine on Sunday 13th december, anywhere you like, anytime!! I have no idea of suitable places though, so cant be much help there.
Im moving house at the weekend so may be a few days without t'internet (:smt089) so feel free to go ahead and decide a time/venue without me and come rain or shine i'll be there :-)

I can probably do that - although I may give any alcohol a miss! :)

Anyone else around on the 13th? Its a shame as we had a good turnout last year - where are Mr Spiers, Mike 2165, BigBadDad etc??
