what do i need for a DIY service?
 
what do i need for my service, quantities, types ect ect.

i have the manual just a normal service really, its got 9000 miles on. its an 2001 sv650 s. i cant be bothered to trawel throught all the manual to find parts. plus doesnt state what parts for some of it.

...so you'ld prefer that we do? It wont take you 10 mins to read the short section on regular maintenance.

no just if anyone knows what i need. Thing is i have a laptop and the touch pad is broken and i have to use the little blue bit in the middle to scroll its a pain in the ****.

ok, oil filter, air filter, oil and plugs. Without knowing the state/age of the bike and what kind of service history its a little tricky to just guess.

Are teh brake pads worn to excess......new pads. Are the valve clearances out......new shims etc etc

You really need to work through the maintenance section and decide what jobs are appropriate.

had service history up till about 5 1/2 and now has 9000 on clock its in exellent condition, its an 2001 sv650 s. It hasnt been services since i got the bike at 5 1/2 thousand.

i would read the ****ing manual but i cant because my mouse takes ages to scroll, if it was a paper one it would be a whole lot easier
