The Dog ate my homework.

we've had three friday meets this year and missed one weekly post already, so rather than a new thread each week and various poll options (which can be some work), I'll start this thread for attendance; just add a date and if you'll be there, the title is for those others....;)

how long you got left Chris ?

Re: The Dog ate my homework.

16th March assuming it doesn't go off in the meantime.

Being away skiing is a valid excuse. Any other week not having a licence isn't as you live 5 mins from the tube station with an easy journey to Soho.

yes, I agree the tube station isn't far from me, but it's the time it then takes getting there, as it's not the easiest of tube journey's I don't think from what I remember. plus I then have to worry about leaving at the right time so that I know I won't miss the last train going home from baker street.

Littlepeahead 30-01-14 09:31 PM

Re: The Dog ate my homework.

Tube direct from yours to Baker St. There's a bus from Baker Street will take you to the bottom of Shaftsbury Ave right near Frith Street so a really easy journey.

TFL journey planner, this combined with an alarm that buzzes 15 minutes before you need to leave would probably cover these insurmountable issues. ;)

Re: The Dog ate my homework.

I shall not be there this evening, despite having a fortnight off work. A few days ago I decided it would be a good idea to decorate the bedroom. Yesterday we started decorating the bedroom. Today, the 3rd coat of paint went on the f***ing ceiling (it's not having another coat, I don't care anymore). This afternoon (and evening, and possibly onwards into the night) we have the pleasure of swearing at the old blue paint which refuses to be hidden by the new cream paint. And don't start me on the woodwork that I confidently predicted, "It'll only need one coat". FFS.

If I have to buy a commercial paint gun to spray the walls (swiftly followed by a new carpet, no doubt) the painting will be finished today, and tomorrow my house can go back to normality and I can go shopping for cushions :D

So, please excuse my absence in Soho.

Sounds like you need a break from painting, and perhaps a coffee...

Is anyone likely to be there early?

Re: The Dog ate my homework.

don't really know Colin, but really low speed, so hopefully nothing major, to be honest in so much pain, didn't even move until I had the first 10mils of morphin and that was flat on my back, still getting the effects of over 60 mils of morphin over the last 18 hours, but told this one is really going to hurt, and when a doc tells you that; you know they aren't kidding...

Rictus - that's not a dog ate my homework excuse, more like "sinkhole swallowed my house". Maybe we'll have to move the Soho meet to your place when you're fit for visitors.

Pookie - he doesn't know the meaning of "take it easy". Rictus rides until he's so knackered he needs a week in an armchair to recover.. I think it's what keeps him sane (well sane-ish)

Get well soon Mark.

Keith.

Re: The Dog ate my homework.

thanks guys, fairly busted up, but at least semi-comfortable for another day, then the morphin finishes, not able to raise my right arm and left thumb still really painful and weak, on the plus side; James is hopefully dropping off the bike tomorrow and according to him it's only grazzed engine bar and bar end damage, you know I'll be off the bike not a moment longer than necessary, so once the bones are knitted I'll apply my normal focus to getting passed the pain thing.

Cheers Mark.

I'm off to Southend to get my knee down on a sports bike at 150mph.

That's the ones where you put a pound in the slot.

Then playing air hockey, followed by a McD happy meal. It's the nephew's birthday treat.

Utter rubbish! It's your inner child demanding these thrills and you're just dragging that poor boy along to make it appear socially acceptable. We have forms at work that we fill in about people like you!
