You should have seen the looks on the Labourites as they heard him...

so that would involve a scheme similar to Motorway Toll's in Europe but even more draconian knowing how badly the motorist/biker is taxed in the UK :(

Yeah but............ he's honest and tells things as they really are. Remember him getting slated for saying the Robert Maxwell was crook? When the truth came out he very politely refused the opportunity to gloat and say "I told you so". Great bloke.

Yeah but most people wouldn't.

Imagine if the government told the truth about the ban on guns. "This isn't working, so the ban must be reviewed" - it would go down like a lead baloon, everyone would believe removing the ban would be a bad thing. Even if people were unsure, you'd imediately have the opposition saying this was completely wreckless and people would probably end up agreeing.

It's much easier for politicians to just lie.
