Re: FS: Breaking SV pointy
if the clocks are proper naked type can i have dibs inc the bracket.
might also be interested in the naked throttle/cable/switchgear if its a genuine naked. naked headlight/clocks cowl as well. |
Re: FS: Breaking SV pointy
Sorry Bib! I hate to ruin your day, but im planning on making the new (faired) sv back into a naked with the stuff i've already got. My error, i wasnt clear enough so i've edited the post.
But basically, all the front end that makes it a naked is what i'll be keeping ( i THINK!, im gunna see how i like the drop down and fairing) Bib, if i go against the idea and keep it on clipons and faired, you'll be the first to know about them parts. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I hope i've cleared it up in this post and the (now edited) original post When i get nitty gritty i'll make a list of literally eveerryyything, but that'll be a few weeks away yet. |
Re: FS: Breaking SV pointy
no probs Lew, i was just wanting to go naked and try it.

Re: FS: Breaking SV pointy

Bump, for you all organs browsing here at work ;)

Re: FS: Breaking SV pointy
Will you be getting rid of the longer engine mount bolts that the left and right fairing mounts bolt into?
|
Re: FS: Breaking SV pointy
Not sure I know exactly what you mean because I've never looked behind these lowers, but yes. I think I will be if I understand correctly.
|
Re: FS: Breaking SV pointy
Hi bud, if you are removing the lower fairings to make it a naked then the brackets that have the silver discs on them to hold the fairings in place mount on the engine bolts. These bolts are longer than the naked version to take account of the bracket thickness. I need those bolts and perhaps the brackets if your getting rid off as someone did the same to my bike but cut the bolts to shorten them and now I can't refit those brackets. Hope that makes it a bit clearer? Lol it's difficult to explain.

Re: FS: Breaking SV pointy

I'll have one of the J shaped lower mounting brackets if they're going spare please?
Have you still got the radiator and the attached faring bracket? Does it have a double bubble screen? Dibs if so, passing through Hudds at weekend so can pick up then. |

Don't suppose you have a pillion seat kicking around? Condition not important.
