The area for this years AR will be

If anyone within that area wishes to step forward and contribute in the organisation of the event please PM me.

Mr Bigape Sir. Would you mind disclosing why East Anglia was chosen? (not that I'm questioning it, just curious as to the decision making process)

No don't tell them... it gives a air of mystery.

Re: The venue.

I don't think it could possibly get much further away from me. Well, unless it was somewhere above Edinburgh.

Just a quick google maps says that me to Norwich is almost 6hours.

Unless you're Scottish, I don't want to hear any whining about the location TYVM!

Attendance for me is dependant on work/family, not the distance or the date (which is why I haven't voted for the date).

Home of the most easterly point in the UK and birthplace of Martin Brundle. I'm there!

You played a modified version of "pin the tail on the donkey" didn't you?!?!

Though I bet you had a few goes, given that we can't ride in the middle of the sea!!

We had a big map of the UK on the wall. I had a blindfold on, was spun round a few times and then stuck a pin in the map.

Not been to that bit of the country before, I'm looking forward to the usual level of boozy tom foolery from Mr Hovis and also exploring some new roads.

Excellent

+1 - REALLY looking forward to it. Multimap - 4.25 hrs non-scenic to Norwich for me...

Re: The venue.

I wouldnt assume that the location is going to be near Norwich - East Anglia goes out as far west as Bedford and as far south as Basildon - its a big area!

Good point - I just chose the largest city in the region as a rough guide...

I would choose Bury St Edmunds or Haverhill as more of a guide as they are roughly in the middle-ish...

RichT 03-12-08 02:32 PM

Re: The venue.

Go for it - I chose Norwich as it's a little further than the middle, i.e. poss maximum time.

Excellent

...Its all flat over here!!

I might even be able to come along as it's local.

Re: The venue.

I think Norwich is a better place to roughly base things. Its a wee bit further North for our lovely northern friends.

I used to do a fair bit of trucking around norfolk/suffolk/essex , nice part of the world, with some top roads.
