Best bet is to get someone local to you to come and have a quick listen to it, bike engines are quite lightly built so don't muffle sound like a car lump so you get quite a lot of mechanical noise.

The big problem is when its going "slap slap slap" at tickover, ljharmitt had a video of his bike running like that asking "whats this noise" the next post was pretty much "why is it broken" :-P

Hello from up north, not much use with the noise issue, my engine has always had a bit f mechanical noise and none of the garages I've been to have commented on it.

Advice #1 - Get out and ride it, on as many different types of road as you can, practice makes perfect.

Advice #2 - Dont crash, it hurts and costs money.

Thats about it really

Machanical noise... What sort? My SV is VERY quiet, at least when compaired to my Falco which makes a lot of winning and tapping sounds.

Welcome to the site... Another Northerner here. Yorkshire FTW tbh.

thats just it
i think its just the cams or the cam chains but when idling it can be heard over the the engine ??

i think it just needs a good ride as the furthest its gone ina a while is the fule station and back
