Newbie Saying Hello

Hey everyone, just thought I'd pop in and say hello :smt039

I passed my test a month ago (DAS) and I'm picking up my bike on Wednesday, after a lot of humming and hawing I've decided to go for an SV650S Sport and I can't wait. I found my way here looking for info on crash bungs

I live in the middle of Central Scotland so will keep a wee eye on the SV Ecosse board too

Looking forward to getting to know you all :)

Yeah I'm looking forward to getting some experience and miles in and never having to be too far from home. I was lurking about reading some of the stuff from the Glencoe weekend and thinking "this time next year Rodney......" :D

:stupid: Same here, I wouldn't even bother to read to the end of this post, it will no doubt just fade into silliness...

Welcome to the Org, they are a nice bunch until you get them drunk, then they have the Devil in them...

Have fun riding them wild roads and remember the good advice of my old man, Do not piddle in the lift!

hugs 'n' smiles

'Bout ye. (Traditional Ulster-Scats welcome)

I'm new round here too, bit of a lurker really.

Heading over to Scotland on Thursday for our annual trip with about nine others, staying in Inverness. Although I'm looking forward to it, I'm a bit nervous as its my first time on a bike since a recent crash. The busted arm is fixed but still sore and the SV is still in bike hospital, so a mate is lending me a Gixxer for the weekend. Bikers are great people.

Welcome to the mad house. If I were you though, I'd get out of here while you still can.

Quick, before the guys in white coats come back!

Whilst you're gone, pick me up a bacon butty, please? :D

Got a nice dry afternoon here so came home from work and got all kitted up, had a wee think about my route, took the cover off my baby then... couldn't get the #!@*$~ disc lock off, THEN managed to get the key stuck in it! Cue eventually taking the jacket back off, trousers starting to stick to me and having to phone my mate to come and help. Half an hour later with the help of a heavy persuader (hammer) it finally decided to give up and came off. Result - one bugge'd disc lock, two sweaty p'd off bikers, no run :smt092

I'm too annoyed to go out now so the kit's all back off and I'm sitting here feeling all sorry for myself hahaha.

Think I'll go and have some dinner then review the situation :-?
