Yeah, a 5 or 6 inch piece of plastic between the wheel and shock. Worth getting a better one IMO. Mine is red fox and it's excellent.

I has a little black curved peice of plastic around 4 inches long that bolts to the swingarm behind the shock.

Erm yeah, why would you not want one with the chain guard on? You take the old one off...

I reckon the standard one does basically as good a job as an aftermarket hugger... Mine has a wee bit of a gap at the top because of the raised suspension but it still does the job as well as it has to.

what do the OEM one's look like thought. also i know about the one that DD has i just do not like the idea of zip tieing it on :( and i do not want a hugger with a chain gaurd becuase i like the OEM one

Re: Does the 2002 SV650 have a hugger as standard?

OEM is a flap of plastic which is about 6" high. It's bolted to the swingarm at the shock end and stands upright.

The oone I posted about and what DD has is fine being cable tied on. You can't see the ties and it's never moved.

You sound like the guy out of Little Britain. lol :-)

Yup, once you've got the hugger fitted correctly it won't move.

The one on the 800 is nearly 8 years old and that is still using the original zip ties.

If you have to wait for the black, then I recommend you do as the carbon look is truly tacky and looks nothing like real carbon fibre.

The 800 recently got striped down to a bare chassis and rebuilt, the engine had the same treatment, this is when I took most of the photos thinking they would come in handy on here.

As for the 650, well that got a thorough looking over once I bought it.
