Bank Holiday Chippy Run - Sunday 24th May

Ok, I have started this as a new thread. Just a provisional idea, but what do people think of this.

Meet in Sandbach by Junction 17 of M6 (there is a petrol station just off the motorway), or at my hovel, sorry, house for a brew :)

Then a jaunt to Rudyard Lake, through to Buxton, then back over the Cat & Fiddle, through Macclesfield up to Northwich, take in J&S accessories, then home. All dependent on timings obviously. If people want to stay somewhere for a little longer, then why not, the route can always change :) The link is from my house btw

Looks like an awesome rideout (and very easy and quick for me to get to). Will pop along if weather/women/laptop delivery driver permits.

Where exactly are we meeting?

Re: Bank Holiday Chippy Run

Hi, I've checked the route and it looks amazing. So I'd definitely like to go. If anyone is going from Manchester we can meet somewhere around and go together. I live in Prestwich.

Right, Executive decision, Sunday it is :)
Looking at the Met Office website, Sunday is looking good weatherwise.
The Petrol Station is HERE Just off junction 17 of the M6 on the junction of Old Mill Road & Congleton Road

Anybody that wants to meet at my house, not a problem PM me & I'll give you the address & my mobile number.

How about 10am at the Fuel station

Right oh! J17, from the North, turn right, 100 meters on the left to the fuel station. 10.00am start is it?

Re: Bank Holiday Chippy Run - Sunday 24th May

Definitely up for this, haven't done any of those roads on a bike yet - always tend to head the other direction into Wales etc.

10:00am petrol station J17, M6 will see ya then!

Seeing as you going ride past my house and using roads I seem to use most (C&F and riding to parents in Northwich) I shall more than likely join you. Probably wait to meet you at Bosley cross roads (A523/A54 junction) though rather than run to Sandbach.

Well looking at the route that’s in place we don’t actually hit that junction…. However that would mean do miss the road that runs along the top of the lake… Below is a slightly altered route to take in the crossroads where MRUKI intends to join us and also brings in the top road.

Col I hope you don’t mind me doing this…. Have a look at the change below and if your happy with it….(its just the route from Congleton to Rudyard that slightly different.) great… if not then its find by me….

No offence to either of you guys, but I don't see the point in changing the route to fit in with one guy. Mr UKI could you not meet us at Rudyard Lake as that is a planned stop?

I cant do this :(
I am out though. First i have to go to walsall to look at a mixer, then rugeley for bricks and then nantwich for the eldests then back home :)
Ill have this bike run in before the first service at this rate.
I had to ring them to say id be over 500 for the first service and they said a couple of hundred over wouldnt hurt. Is 300 over bad?

I'm not going to say that I'll come, because every time I've said that for the last umpteen rideouts I've had something come up in the last 24 hours to stop me from attending. However, I'm very interested in the route and it sounds like a good day, sooo... ;)

Of course there is room for every one!:D Copy the list, add your name and paste the list in a new post, if you are a definite. I know it is hard to turn up on your own, but we won't bite and it'll be fun. You won't be the only new guy!
