Are love handles and triboseat any good for pillions?
I done a few miles over the weekend with my other half pillion and think I need to try a few aids to make it more comfortable, one of them being love handles and the other a triboseat type affair.
Anyone got experience of either or both? |

Yeah, they are. No doubt!

Triboseat is definitely worth it. I take my missus pillion regularly. She slid about at first, but once I got it she's not slid at all, makes us both much happier.

Re: Are love handles and triboseat any good for pillions?
As mentioned in a post i done yesterday, i purchased the triboseat first and the love handles today.
Both are fantastic, my wife was very anti-bike and slowly coming round and these things are helping no end. That reminds me i must update that original post. |

Dazza, I used love handles with Amy on the back. It made everything feel a lot better both physically and mentally. You are welcome to give mine a try if you like. I am in work tomorrow so can drop them off if you like.

If they're that good I may as well fork out. Have found them as cheap as £9.99 on the net and £30 on ebay!!! Done 220 miles this weekend with Sarah on Black Beauty! It's ok but could be better.

my mrs doesnt like reaching round the back for a grab handle, so the love handles are much more comfortable for her. triboseat stops her sliding into me during breaking and crushing me nuts! i would recommend to anyone |

Re: Are love handles and triboseat any good for pillions?
See - my ex-missus didn't like the love handles - as the can swing forwards and back and aren't that anchored to the belt

This weekend we went away for a couple of nights camping. Enroute, fully loaded, I had to do an emergency stop from a speed slightly healthier than the motorway limits. Won't go into details but as usual it was a cager being a cager. We stopped with ample space and without even a hint of a bodycheck or headbutt from behind. I didn't even notice the pressure through the love handles (probably because I was concentrating on the task at hand) but I haven't any bruises or anything. BTW - When I put the love handles on I twist the buckle to the back. Tis more comfortable.... |

Re: Are love handles and triboseat any good for pillions?
Love handles endorsed by Mrs Tallguy, not a confident pillion and won't use the rear grab rail. I was told that, when braking, the pillion should try to push the handles towards each other like trying to put fists knuckle to knuckle, this reduces and evens out the pressure on the rider allegedly. Dunno if it's true though! For less than fifteen quid, it made a big difference. WARNING! I almost set off with only one of the plastic click things engaged, I now check for two clicks every time!

I wore mine so the handles were almost together behind me but you can have them on the front also. Brilliant.... |
