I managed to stay off the bike all weekend because I knew I had the next four days off. Today was as bright and sunny as the last few days, plus, there was less chance of meeting some, well, coff coff, "colleagues" :rolleyes:

So, I meandered down the A49 and off across through Wem, Ellesmere, Oswestry and on to Lake Vyrnwy. I was last there six years ago on my advanced driving course in a Golf VR6. Today, in the sunshine, I would never of caught myself!

The views were amazing, the sky so clear. Only problem was, I couldn't bring myself to stop, the ride was so good.

The dam at the lake is a real shocker. Beautiful views to the one side;

All in all, a very pleasent day out. 220 miles of cracking roads, and the A49 to finish off with, a road I know like the back of my hand. No, there is no video of that bit, I'm not THAT stupid!

Good video, what mount do you have? that's probably one of the least shaky/noisy videos I've seen on a bike!

It's a Ram Mount (Google it) with a Fuji compact digi cam on top. It mounts on the bars, looking through the screen, hence the engine noise, not wind noise.

I prefer to hear the bike in vids, rather than an angry sounding bunch of Americans shouting at each other! Then again, maybe I'm old....

Not because your old, I'd far rather hear the engine, I see no point in putting music to driving/riding, the noise gives you a sense of speed and without it it's plain boring!

Nah, nothing of you in your car! Amazing how small the world is, all across the country on small lanes, and someone I know sees me! Hope I wasn't mis-behaving too much!
