Either/both might be a useful option for the rideout of the year.

Not for me mind, working on the 10th so the 3rd is death or glory.

Mates 18 on the 1st, 10th would be better, but can do either.

Probably either is fine for me, dunno yet. <---- Hmm, not the most decisive statement ever!

Staying at the bunkhouse as usual i assume?
Nothing fully booked for Oct yet, from whats on the website.

OK so there appears to be 7 (2 from the eithers) of us for the 3rd then.

Start at Kinross services for 11am and same route as ROOTSB07

Is that the same route as the now infamous ROOTSB08?

AFAIK - I wasn't there last year and can't remember why not. I was away I think :smt017

Anyways - it's getting nearer and we need to get a date set in stone and some excitement built up.

Either that or some pics of women with big boobies (or if you're a wummin a pic of a fireman)

And for the ladies! :D

Ok, I've voted either too but it seems the 3rd it is so thats fine. Amanda will probably be along with me again (we'll be on a bike for a change!!!!) for this so that makes 9 or 10 of us.

Best to get things organised re. the bunkhouse or we may lose out. I'll ring them tomorrow am. I guess an 8 berth would do us. Plus what ever else they have? We may take a family room like last time but if it's just me I shall rough it with the pesants, lol.

Pretty much, last year a few of us met at Kinross Services on the Saturday morning, then congregated with everyone else at the Spittal of Glenshee (where we spent a couple of hours drying out, soaking the place in the process), then carried on up the run to Aviemore.

Came back down Sunday once the hangovers (ok, my hangover) had cleared.

This is the latest list. I've rung the bunkhouse we used last time. I'm currently awaiting word on if they have 10 spaces for us as I know they're busy that weekend. I thought they might have rung me back tonight.

Otherwise there is the SYHA hostel, where everyone can book themselves into online. That's £18 each, (£17 if you're a member) and there are plenty spaces there.

Re: rIDEOUT OF THE sTUARTYbOY 2009

And yep, Wulfie and me are planning to meet the rest of you guys on Saturday to do part of the rideout - hopefully from the Glenshee section and onwards. That'll be an early start then!

Most likely spot is somewhere in Bridge of Cally. So, if there's somewhere that's an obvious place for stopping there.... do tell as we've never been in themthere parts! ;)

Cool eh, looking forwrd to it already. :smt041

The Bridge of Cally Hotel is just before you join the A93, ideal for our purposes.

And what do you mean you're looking forward to it already, it's next week! :)

Re: rIDEOUT OF THE sTUARTYbOY 2009

On second thoughts, if we're meeting/lunching at Spittal of Glenshee (the Slaves!!) it'd be better for the Skye contingent to go straight there. Otherwise you're hanging about in Bridge of Cally and then it's only a 20 minute ride to lunch.

Here is Ralph's plan from last year which worked like a charm. In the absence of instruction from above I'd say go for this again.

If one of them jumps out in front of you at Blairgowrie please stop and pick them up. Otherwise we'll catch them at the Spittal of Glenshee Hotel. Depart whenever we have met the Aberdeen crew and we are all ready to go, expected about 1:30 to 2pm, but we are in no rush.

I did not volunteer to organise, I got told to organise. ;)

The TL going to be ready in time?

Why not take the DRZ instead?

It's not much slower than my bike.

And handles alot better?
