Sv1000 sz

Hey peeps,

I'm selling my SV1000 SZ - the ltd edition model for 05

Obviously an 05 model but on an 06 plate. Done 13,500 miles, serviced around 700 miles ago. Hase 6 months tax and mot.

Features high level devil racer exhausts, so no piliion pegs on at the moment although i do have them and the seat too. In all round very good condition.

In october 2006 some pillock reversed into the bike and knocked her off her sidestand which left her with cracked fairings and a bent lever. because of the cost of the ltd edition fairings the bike was written off although it could be repaired and put back on the road which is what happened. Any physical and mechanical inspection welcome. Parkers price for a poor private sale is £2500 - this is in great condition and i only want £2200.

I'm in Sevenoaks in Kent, 35 minutes from London :D

what is the difference in the insurance categories?

Dave20046 03-11-09 02:03 PM

Re: Sv1000 sz

both affect resale value I think, one of the category requires a test to get it back on the road legally

Re: Sv1000 sz

"D" is cosmetic damage only.

Scooberosa is correct, doesn't invalidate MOT too I think?

Just an MOT for cat C or D, whether either invalidates a current MOT I have no idea.

(cat A or B cannot be used on the road again AFAIK)

Re: Sv1000 sz

it does invalidate a current mot, just needs a new one to ride again :) VIC test's not needed with motorcycles :)

Re: Sv1000 sz

No VIC required. as i say the accident happend in october 2006 so several MOT's since then.

The price reflects the cat d and any inspection is welcome :D

Was the fairing and any other parts repaired or replaced?
Is there any indication of the damage remaining? I'm a fair way from you so I'd need to see more detail before I'd come and look I'm affraid.

Literally the only damage to the bike is: one of the crash bungs has a scrape and one of the bar end has a scrape. apart from that (and a chip out of the tank protecter) the bike is immaculate. The fairings were replaced - not repaired and the bike looks like its never been on the ground!
