Show me your summer gloves
Me is needing a new pair for 2010. The old ones have lasted me quite a few years of summer use. Im trying to find a certain type, but can't find anything like them anywhere.
The old ones i've got are Pro Sports by Hein Gerike, and I mainly love them because of all the holes between the fingers to allow airflow. On a really hot day, you mearly spread your fingers to get a nice cool rush of air flowing up your glove and into your jacket arms. If you get cold, you close your fingers. Anyway, rambling over, im trying to find a similar set, and HG don't do anything like this any more. The only gloves im seeing that i like cost £150+, and I think i got these bad boys in a sale for about £35!! Bloody steal. I think my budget really is a vmax of £80 as I need some new summer boots too. http://images18.fotki.com/v331/photo...AGE_045-vi.jpg ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR IF anyone has got any online links to some good online bike kit shops that I can spend my day looking though, well that would be just dandy too, as im not gonna do much work today, as frankly, it sucks, and im in a bad mood  |
Re: Show me your summer gloves

They had a pair down there and I wasn't keen tbh. I can see the hand area getting really dirty and minging. Oh, im a fussy badger by the way. |
Re: Show me your summer gloves
Yeah, mine are already a bit discoloured from rubber rubbing off my grips. I can't see how you would avoid that with any glove that colour. I don't know if they do black kangaroo leather?

Re: Show me your summer gloves
Alpinestars SP1 for me.
http://cdn1.ioffer.com/img/item/143/...E6o6H0Fwh5.jpg Comfortable, loads of feel. Mine have been used and abused in all weathers and and been down the road at 90+ and are still in good nic. There is alot of fakes about which look near as damn spot on but fall apart. |

I use Alpinestars Octane S-Moto Gloves, very light cool and comfortable. Might not offer the same protection as G's SP1's though.

Re: Show me your summer gloves
I've got some Technik gloves.....these...http://www.teknicgear.com/smt-glove/
Thing I like about them is that they are short at the wrist, but not too short, they meet with the leather so don't overlap.....giving you decent flexibility. Plus really well vented, good armour. Listed as £49.99 on their website but we only paid £25 for them. Only use them when nice and warm, otherwise use my RST's |

Re: Show me your summer gloves
I use Alpinestar Alloy gloves. Had them for years and did well when i had a spill. Excellent ventilation and look and feel good. I actually wear them throught most of the year as i hate winter gloves. They look like this and cost about 55 quid. The symbol is metal and the gloves are made from deerskin i believe. Actualy i have decided to order a new pair as mine are a lil tatty after 5 years use....

You've got 5 hands - AWESOME |
Re: Show me your summer gloves
Have these Alpine Stars 365 for 18 months now. They are supposed to be a winter glove but IMO the are not warm enough so I use em in the summer.
They are extremely comfortable and didn't take long to bed in. You get get excellant feel to due to the Xtra-Fit system. Have good allround protection and ventilation and the Gore-Tex is a bonus as so far they haven't leaked a drop. Great summer glove http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c1...ore_Tex_Gl.jpg |

A 3 year old pair of Alpinestar GP Pro's. Been used in all weathers, lovely and comfy, looking a bit manky, but I'd not swap them for anything else...

Re: Show me your summer gloves
I'm on my second pair of A* GP Pro and I'm fed up with them. I found the armour too stiff and ended up causing really achy knuckles. The first pair (older model) softened up towards the end, which is why I bought a second pair! However, now I'm regretting it as after two races my middle knuckle is killing me :(
So, I will be buying these on monday: http://www.teknicgear.com/storage/gl...=1268155862081 Which feel great! (Technik Violators) |
