International SV650 and Gladius riders map

Hi everybody!

My name is Thibault, I am from www.gladius.fr, the French forum of the Suzuki SFV 650 Gladius. I would like to make an international map of the SV 650 and SFV 650 Gladius riders. This is why I came here in order to insert British and Irish bikers to the project. :)

Click here to visit the UK map

In order to suscribe to the map, it's very easy :

. Zoom on the map to your home.
. Clic on the top-right [Add] button (1) - The windows "Add your entry" appears
. Add your Name/Nickname, address, city...
. Clic on "Map Select a location" (2) and target your home on the map.
. Chose your motorcycle model : Suzuki SV 650 or Suzuki SFV 650 Gladius (3).
. You can add other information on the others tabs, for example : picture (4)
. When you have finished, click on [Preview] or [Submit] (5) if you are satisfied.

Thank you so much for your participation!

Bye,

Re: International SV650 and Gladius riders map

... You can just show a nickname and select only a city and not your exact address...

The aim is to see our "Suzuki bro' neightbours"...

And if you think the thieves use this kind of map to make them market... -_- They prefer do round around your area and count how many days your windows are totally closed ;)

That doesn't work in the UK. It's always bloody freezing.

ok :)

But I'm a little sad you won't participate to this map. Because I did it for the Ducati Multistrada 1200 and there was no problem. Today the map is beautiful and the international Comunauty can look the evolve.

Maybe, its because we already have a map running.

Or Maybe people are just a little cautious about someone coming onto a forum and asking where expensive toys are likely to be left..

Ah ok. Could you give me the link to your map?

And I understand that my first post could be bad understood. But I think the project in its "international dimension" is interesting!

Sv.org map

I do agree it's a nice idea to have a "world location" of owners too, but a new member who hasnt really intruduced himself and isn't known to the group can be met with suspition ;)

Its our typical English reserved nature and not trusting foreigners :p

Remember we've had a few wars over the years, including the French ;)

Nah, they weren't wars.

More like "a gentle disagreement where the french decided to die or give up"

Was good practice for the following conflicts too...

Hi! :)

If you look the map you'll see all countries are being completed... but not Great Britain and Ireland. :'(

I thought you were joking when you spoke about your fear about foreigners. XD

Gogogo! Show to the World you are better than it seems! lol, I joke ;)

Nearly got the nail on the head, but not quite.

Other countries are being completed, so therefore we won't complete it, because we're British, and we're better than you.
We have a more exclusive list of our own and don't need to participate with "les ploucks" ;)

- the better army (American)
- the better european economy (Germany)
- the better beaches (Spain)

And you ? What do you have ? The better rain ! :o)))))))))

Typical of the frogs with their well known lack of taste. I never knew until I read this thread that they have a website for the fugliest bike Suzuki ever spawned.

I always thought one of their junior designers had a wet dream and decided that they should use the stain as the start of a new project.

So... You like it then Tim. When will you be picking up your new Gladius?

Ahhhhh my friend who's best regiment has a desease named after them,
allow me to point out some basic fact, we train most of the worlds armed forces, inc americians and your bunch of surrender monkeys, we also are well know as the most profesional military in the world, we have the best know and feared special forces, hence why most hostage taking/ hijackings goes on in lovely countries like germany ,france and the middle east,
and my final point is unlike yourselves and the yanks we feel no need to fire 20.000 rounds a couple of laser guided missiles and some naplam in a genral direction to attempt (in most of your cases miss) whom we wish to kill, we use 1 - 3 rounds for such things, 1 to kill them and if were in a particularly bad mood the first 2 would be to kneecap them before dispatching them to show are distain

but anyway besides that i actually like your international map idea, and really hope it gets the responce your hopeing for.

i will leave you with one of my favourite jokes
how many french soldiers does it take to defend paris
no one knows its never been done yet

Though an SV650 map will never get the response he's hoping for on this site, since 50% of the members don't actually own an SV.

+1 on the army thing. The american army may be bigger, but most of them are just cannon fodder.
