Talking of calendars, a plea...

With reference to nudey-ish pics to sustain your interest and entice you to read on...maybe ;-)

Remember the Brontes? You've no doubt heard of Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights (of which two film remakes have recently been released), and the sisters who wrote them, and the family that have been associated with English literary history since the 19th century?

Then perhaps you have also heard of the Bronte Parsonage, their family home which is now a museum holding many of the family artefacts at Haworth, a small village in West Yorkshire.

Below is a quote from this article, please read if you will.

Quote:

Not only will they be making a new appeal for repairs to the dilapidated roof of the Old School Room, built by Patrick Brontė and once taught in by Charlotte, but they are also planning to cost repairs to the wall paintings and sound out support for an annual Haworth Festival.
Since the villagers have begun to realise the parlous state of the church roof, they have rallied round. The Baptist, Catholic and Methodist congregations have offered support. Calendars with photographs of assorted naked villagers, one including the Baptist minister, are being sold to raise money. Small sums of money have also arrived in envelopes from Brontė readers in America.

Now 20 January looms large in Haworth, which is when English Heritage will come back to see if the church has raised the required £65,000 in order for it to release a pot of £100,000 to repair the worst side of the roof. So far the parish has raised just under £30,000
Note the sentence in bold. I took part in this calendar (yep with my SV!) which has been produced purely for fundraising purposes. Even though the calendar was produced in October I have refrained from posting on here about it for obvious reasons but now, with an article as genuine backup I feel it is worth a punt.

I'm not posting the my month up but you can find the calendar here (you will have to buy the calendar to get a good look if you are so inclined ;-) )

You can find the calendar on Twitter and Facebook also.

If you can spare £6 to help our cause or even £10 for two calendars (one of each) then you would not only be making it worth mine and all other participants' whiles (all done voluntarily!) but you would also be helping to preserve a vital part of our history and contributing towards some much needed restoration in this little but worldwide famous village.

Calendars can be bought on the website HERE.

Many thanks,

MYC :)

(feel free to discuss/poke fun at and ridicule in equal measure ;))

BUY!!!!!!

Lol, they're actually a pair of these

An element of Fairtrade was needed in the calendar with Haworth being the World's First Fairtrade Village so if you were to buy the calendar and inspect more closely (not too close though mind :pale: ) you will see "Pants to Poverty" written on the waistband ;)

Most certainly not - without wanting to sound at all pervy, you have a very nice bottom... but the pants are a bit manly ain't they :-)

dizzyblonde 04-01-12 01:53 PM

Re: Talking of calendars, a plea...

If thats a phat ass missy, my ass is quite frankly hippo sized.

I think what the pervs of the org are trying to say, is that your svelt behind is being drowned by such large sized pants.

If anything.........I think you need to eat some more pie and cake just to fit those pants you understand;)

Ovaries? :p

A very good cause, we took a trip to Haworth specifically to visit the house, a wrong turn sent us down that very steep high street (to the annoyance of all the visitors) but I was very impressed by the collection itself.

I wonder how many people (other than me) didn't respond due to being concerned that they may sound pervy (I'm not saying I'm not pervy, just saying I don't want to sound pervy). Esp. when one considers the pretty lady has a working class boyf. :-)

Actually I did notice rictus looking at this thread earlier and thought he had demonstrated magnificent restraint in not posting haha.

People, please understand I have NOT put this up as a fish for compliments/insults (if you know me personally then you'll know this already!) but simply to raise awareness and moneys for a very worth cause. The comments it's throwing up are very amusing though :p

I assume "posting" is something like "planking" that only chaps can do? It may well be that Mr Rictus is "posting" but just hasn't communicated this.

Calender ordered. When it arrives I'll let the Soho folks see it and encourage them to buy their own.

Cheers keith. And I have just remembered, Miss December is wearing far more ladylike panties ;)

Why are they wearing pants at all if it's just their ar$es showing, we've all seen a bum you know... you've met Bear as well haven't you? :-)

Ahem, if you bought a calendar you would see there are some participants wearing considerably less than pants ;)

Ok, I'll refine the question. If it was just YOUR ar$e showing then why the pants?
