Which screen for Pointy?
 

hey guys, finally going to fork out for a new screen, so first off i know i want a double bubble screen , dark maybe blue im not sure, its for my sk6.
so i want to ask you lot is,
which make do i go for and where do i buy it from ? cheap if possible

Depends on personal preference - I've got a Puig which fits well. Other makes around. However, I'm a bit too tall for a standard double bubble and it hasn't made much difference in terms of wind blast.

Had a fabbri (sp?) on my old curvy which was far superior than the standard screen on my pointy.

I just bought a nice MRA double bubble screen and its awesome. I'm 6'1" and have noticed a massive difference. The screen also fits really well on my K3 Pointy

Plumped for a puig screen too, very pleased with it.

Bought it new from ebay, shipped from Italy but arrived within a week...

I forked out as well for the puig on eBay aswell and what a difference it has made both looks and deflecting the wind :)

+1. Couldn't wait to get the old one off. Fair to say there are plenty of aftermarket screens out there, all of which will be an improvment looks-wise.
As for my Puig, all i can add is that the fit was excellent too. No re-drilling of holes, no gaps etc.

I have the MRA and its great, i'm 6'1" and riding at 100+ isn't a problem anymore, the screen is spot on. Josh u'll be happy with it but each to their own.

Yeah - I meant to type summat like that earlier. I didn't get on with the MRA, which was a shame, cos I really wanted to (especially for the cost of it!). I reckon I'm just the wrong size/shape...

I found the MRA on a pointy and on my VFR to be very effective. MRA seem well made too and generally fit with no fuss.

Hi. This is my first post. I passed last summer and bagged my first bike on ebay, a naked SV650 2001 with 18k on the clock.
I've been out on the bike a few times doing around 20-30 miles each time and am now starting to notice the things that I need, or need to adjust.
First off the bike is naked, and my confidence is starting to build 'slowly' everytime I take it out, and now fancy trying a morning commute to my office which is a 7 mile stretch down a national speed limit dual carraigeway and in to Manchester. I did a dry run this weekend and felt the wind belting me all the way there; even at around 50. Is there such a thing as a screen for a naked SV 650 without having to fit a fairing?
