Potential pointy Adjuster Plates Group Buy

i have had a few emails asking if i have any of these left and what the price is.

buy any of my other items and only pay one postage.

................................

As we all know the OEM pointy rear wheel adjuster plates are made of cheese and have more play than a sausage up a close.

The Brackets are made from 3mm thick Stainless Steel with virtually no slop and fit the spindle like a glove giving you a better accuracy adjusting your chain. The 3mm gauge Stainless Steel will also make it a lot harder to bend them.

If you have any questions please ask and I’ll be glad to try and answer them.

Thanks, Lance

p.s. if the MOD’s or John (admin) don’t agree with this thread then please take it down. As I have no intention to cause problems and I will not be offended in the slightest.

Sounds good, I'd be interested, anything to make the bike better

DarrenSV650S 17-04-12 11:14 PM

Put my name down for a set

Been after these for a while :)

Epic Monkey 18-04-12 06:23 AM

I'd be interested. Put me down for a pair please.

I'll have a pair. Can you post up a drawing to show the general arrangement?

here is a mk2 bracket.

http://i40.tinypic.com/ety000.jpg

wow 5 people already :-)

differences are the downsatnd wont be there and the lower mark hole has been omitted i can put a hole there if people really want plus the bend is now shaped for the profile of the swingarm.

but it gives you a rough idea.

Very nice work Bibio but be careful with the pics cos there are spies out there and you know what happened to Daviesv :(

Bibio 18-04-12 08:26 AM

Re: Potential pointy Adjuster Plates Group Buy

thanks geo

they can try to copy all they want m8 as they would run into problems if they did. this is why it's taken so long as there is more to it than looks :-)

besides if they can pump them out for the same price as i will be doing for the org then i'll be happy to let them do them for us :-)

Aye, count me in for a set.

Bibio. start doing these on ebay btw.

Another curvy owner liking that too Bibio. Is there any reason why, with a spacer behind it, that arrangement wouldn't fit a curvy swingarm?

I'd be happy to have mine delivered to Joshwalker (or his to me) to save on postage...same applies to anyone else in the NW of England.

curvy swingarms are a different profile completely so they would not fit even with a spacer i can look into a solution during the summer if curvy owners are really intrested in something similar.

wow 10 people already. bulk postage is not a problem in fact it's better :-)

liking the idea of the AR Marc.

TBH I've not had issues with my plates on my curvy swingarm, I bought some S/S ones from an Ebay seller

They're same dimensions as OEM, just in stainless. Would be real easy to fabricate some I guess, or get stamped out. Depends on the demand

pppfffttt i can have those OEM plates stamped out by the hundreds as i have access to a CNC punch press so they would cost peanuts, its a downstand for a scottoiler i need the dimensions for so i can take it off the top of the left plate and run it under the swingarm. all of which i can have done in shop which costs next no nowt, once the design is in Radan then its just a case of changing a few tooling posts and pressing a button :-D

Think I've got the old plates in the garage, can send them to you Bib, if there's enough demand from Curvy owners.

I don't need any though.

Best start a separate thread, as this is derailing yours

i'll check see if there is any 3mm SS at the workshop first. i would like to get the pointy ones sorted first. but yes i would require the plates to have a look as i found with the pointy ones there is a few things needed to remove the 'slop' and fit properly on the spindle.

muzikill 18-04-12 03:10 PM

Re: Potential pointy Adjuster Plates Group Buy

Sorry to derail but if they already were adapted for a oiler by default i'd be quite happy. The swingarms already got the holes for paddock stand bobbins so why not have a bracket ready for a additional fitment?

2 versions. Oilerbracket version & normal. Youd order 2x normal as a oilerfree version or one of each for the other option.

It will give me another project to get on with, would another oiler system fit onto it or would it be scottoiler only?

Bibio 18-04-12 03:15 PM

Re: Potential pointy Adjuster Plates Group Buy

the reason for the downstand for the oilier is so it moves the nib with the wheel so keeping it in the perfect position on the sprocket each time you adjust the chain. another benefit is that you move the nib out the way when taking the wheel off which again stops you having to mess about setting the nib up again when you fit the wheel back on.

No worries, sort out the Pointy's first

I'd certainly be interested in a set with the scottoiler bit for my curvy, if you feel so inclined to sort some once the pointy ones are dealt with Bibio.

12. Jayneflakes, but with a simple question.

Will it be compatible with my Tutoro oiler?

I assume that the K3 arm is the same dimensions as the others? Would look well Bling on my sexy little girly bike. :smt040

My thought exactly ..... If it can use a tutoro its a quality addon.
