Dont think so.... Motorway commuter + has all the original parts to put back to standard.

Just cos he has the parts now, doesn't mean he had them when he crashed it (if he did).
He could've bought it damaged, he could be lying with the details, either way, it's a crime to do that.

Exactly. It's probably not a crash that inspired fitting the present fairing.

Pretty it ain't, but if you had lots of motorway miles to do, that fairing would a much better thing to sit behind than an standard SV fairing, and sitting behind it you wouldn't be able to see it.

Any link between your location and that of the ebay seller?

I believe the bike's a nekkid (check out top yoke/bars), and that fairing's just been added. If it was me, I'd put it back to standard to sell, but that might go for a good price...

Has certainly had a bar conversion, but .... "can be retro fitted with original bikini fairing and headlight"

Which, if you had a lengthy motorway commute in all weathers would be a poor choice.

It isn't pretty, but if it works for the use to which it is put then there's nothing wrong with it.

For some people biking choices are made for reasons other than feeling the need to be riding the 'right' bike, and buying the 'right' accessories.

Oi! I had that fairing on my old NTV (which probably explains a lot). The chap I sold it on to was going to put in on his ZZR1100...

Granted it doesn't exactly sit with the SV's lines, but it is a comfy fairing to be sat behind.

Wow. That is fugly. Really fugly. The f word, obviously, being "functional". As in, it's really fu(nctional but you wouldn't want to be seen in the same county, let alone riding the bike because it's so damn u)gly

Considering what I ride, I'm not in any position to comment on the aesthetic qualities of the fairing in question. However... some of you should really take a look at your reflections before passing comment on what looks good or is pleasing to the eye. Also, someone has pointed out that the fairing is functional and does a good job of what it was designed for, another thing some of you need to look a little closer to home and assess.

Just saying :-)

Lozzo, you're missing the point. For us aesthetically-challenged individuals, the last thing we want is to add to the problem by riding something that looks like somebody has punched it's face. Repeatedly.

No, no and again no.

Us aesthetically challenged people should totally relate to this bike and thank the deity of our choice for one thing; when we stand next to a fugly bike WE are the ones who look good. Wtf do you think I bought a Versys?
