Saturday Ride due to soggy Sunday!

Ok I know! I'm no fair weather rider but i rode back from Weymouth today and got a bit damp! Fancy a dry ride this weekend! Who's in, Where from, Where to?

I'm free both days, but would rather ride the dry one, so well up for tomorrow. I'm in. What're the chance of Wayne joining in? There won't be any Spank as his bike has more oil out than in.

Where do you want to meet?:D

Wayne can't make it, was thinking Blackwater or Yateley meet then head North for a change!

Oh sheet! If it's just us two, then it's two fools with no route knowledge! We may need to actually plan something ...

One option for you .....

Hartley Whitney -> B3011 - A33 towards Reading. When you get on the dual carriageway take any of the lefts then enjoy the wiggly stuff and head north westish. Eventually you'll hit the A4 Bath Road. Do a map check and head towards Wantage and generally wiggle around there for a bit.

Some great roads over that way.

Or just blat down to Loomies for a change :)

I'm off for a damp weekend camping so can't come out to play.

Don't worry so much as long as we've got money for fuel and some edibles we'll be fine!:D

Cheers for the route Mark! Will take a map to be on the safe side though!

Fools, i don't think so. I'm out for a play! Fallout, seeing as you live in Tadley (which if i am nto mistaken is near Aldermaston) we'll head over to you if you like and go from there?

Sounds like a plan to me genital men. That is exactly 1/4 mile from my house, so could probably find it.

Is it gonna take you an hour to get there after you guys meet? It's 15 mins from the Premier Inn to the Sainsbury's. Are you planning to push your bikes here?

Cool. I'll probably be up from about 7 or 8, but I have new textile trousers, so I may spend a couple of hours rubbing myself in front of the mirror to kill the time.

Re: Saturday Ride due to soggy Sunday!

Fallout, i'm not taking the 'usual' route, taking a much different route. I used to use it on the way to AWE, only saying about an hour as we may leave slightly late. Notice how i said about 9:30 and about 10:30 ;)

Re: Saturday Ride due to soggy Sunday!

I did, but 'about' normally means 'I may be a bit late' in my book! :)

Nathan, take note of the route. If you lot ever come round my place, I live right next to Sainsburys so that'll be the way! :)

Re: Saturday Ride due to soggy Sunday!

it means you have space to either make time up, or time enough to get there ;) it's a nice windy route so he should like it!

You (Daddyjob and Thunderace) could have popped in to see me at work! I saw you at the lights in Yateley from work and was so annoyed!

Re: Saturday Ride due to soggy Sunday!

Good ride. Shame Nathan gets a smacked botty from his Mrs and we had to trundle up the motorway to get home fast. The whole route down is quality. Must do it again, this time when Nathan has permission to be out and spend money on fuel.

Re: Saturday Ride due to soggy Sunday!

So where exactly did you guys end up?

DJ123 23-06-12 08:13 PM

Re: Saturday Ride due to soggy Sunday!

Ended up at Bournemouth, too the long way round to get there. Did about 250 miles of there abouts in all.
