Oil and Oil Filter Changing Tutorial

My third video tutorial is complete, thanks to the arrival of my oil filters. This one is really long, but only because of some amazing twists and turns that you won't see in any other servicing tutorial. Probably best to watch when you have 20 mins to spare, as the complicated story line and intricate plot will have you confused unless you have an IQ of 180 and give it your full concentration. :smt030 :smt115 :D

For those that can't be arsed, watch it from 14:30.

Zombiesssssssssssss. Once again helpful :) saves me looking this stuff up elsewhere and the relaxed and comical way of doing things is better than a more straight laced and serious tutorial.

Thanks mate. Yes, servicing doesn't have to be serious, imo! You don't have to know what you're doing. So long as you make sure you put everything back on that you took off, the worst that can happen is you won't solve the problem you were trying to fix .... he says, then imagining badly bled brakes, no engine oil, and various other possible catastrophic failures. :D

I'm never getting that 20 minutes of my life back am I? It's not like I'll ever do an oil change myself. I have a BMW and nicely painted nails. But if the Zombies do invade in true Shaun of the Dead style I have a couple of cricket bats at the ready.

You don't need that 20 mins back Clare, not when it was the greatest piece of televisual footage that has ever been produced. In talks with Spielberg and Cameron right now.

Ha haaa, wait until he's about 6 stone, then the loving cuddles become a love wrestle... but not in the good way

; )

I know it! He hasn't learnt to decelerate yet when charging at me with a toy, and also still thinks stepping on my groin when I'm on the floor is acceptable.

Does anyone have any problems with the sound being out of sync btw? YouTube doesn't seem to be playing it back properly. I've been tweaking lighting settings, which I think has fudged it, so have returned back to the dark original.

Ace.

Engine oil is indeed better than any hand cream.

Thanks chaps. Strangely enough, my hands have remained lovely and smooth since filming that tut. :)

We had a DVD camera a while back and when that was used with Final Cut Pro it would go out of sinc. It turned out that the DVD camera had some funky compression software on it that messed the sound up. It was a real swine. In the end the camera failed and we bought a new one that is Mac compatible and that is always in sinc. Not sure if that helps you though.

Thanks Jayne. Interestingly, the sound is in sync in Internet Explorer. I did some googling and it seems to be a flash update problem. Either way, I'm getting a new cam for my birthday in a few weeks, so that may help. :)
