Pointy Front End Parts

I will be picking up a GSXR front end this weekend so will soon have a complete standard front end for sale off my K4, all in good condition and covered approx 9,500 miles, as follows;

Forks - SOLD
Top Yoke - SOLD
Wheel (Silver) - SOLD
Spindle - SOLD
Brake Discs - SOLD
Brake Callipers & Pads -SOLD
Clip Ons - SOLD
Speedo Sensor - SOLD
Mud Guard (Pearl Nebular Black) - SOLD
HEL Braided Brake Lines, black - SOLD
Bridgestone Battlax 021 Front and rear tyres, loads of life left - SOLD

Plus postage or collection is fine.

Will be able to get better pics once everything is removed.

Hopefully I'm there or thereabouts on price, I'll add pictures as best I can but everything is still on the bike at the moment.

I will add pictures and prices as soon as I can (need to find out reasonable prices first), I just thought I'd post the parts up as a heads up that they'll be available and maybe give people time to raise the cash for them but please note they will obviously not be available until I've fitted the new front end and all is well.

Sure we can sort something out, but you're top of the list for that.

Everybody else so far at the top of the provisional list;

CDMG - Brake calipers, pads and discs.
M65 - Braided lines.

If I don't have to re-use it and split it from the master cylinder £15 plus postage.

Yeah they're nice and clean and tidy sorry about the pics really. I can get better ones when they're off but I'll keep you top of the list til then.

Mines a k4 and I got the cowl when I bought the bike for £50 with infills. They do come up every now and then but you might be best trying to get one in another colour as cheap as you can and get it resprayed in black.

BikerCraig 26-02-13 07:59 PM

Re: Pointy Front End Parts

thanks, im not in any rush as i cant even ride my bike yet. still sporting a busted leg after having a BIG fight with a car so whenever you get round to getting them off and sorted is fine with me:)
damn i knew you were going to say that lol, yer thats what ive been thinking about doing and just hoping its not too hard to get it matched to the colour of the bike? yours looks a bit like a gsxr shape-ish cowl from your pic and ive not seen one like that before???

dirtyred619 26-02-13 08:51 PM

Re: Pointy Front End Parts

I bought that humped race style cowl off a fellow orger but decided after a while preferred the normal cowl so sold that one on, I should update my pic really.

If you buy one to respray you can guarantee a nice shiny black cowl will be up for sale at a cheap price the very next day!

I'll keep you posted about the levers.

Dirtyred. Can't work out if anyone has 'claimed' the reservoir, if not I'm happy to pay your price. Dave, the reservoir I'm taking off has the clear plastic bit intact and can sell you that no problem?

Just awaiting an answer on that but I'll put you on the provisional list.

Again though just to be clear it's dependant on whether or not I have to use this part whether it's for sale and all parts won't be available until I've changed front ends over.

I'll update the list earlier in the thread.

Excellent, I hope to have this SV stripped this weekend and by then I should know whats needed and whats not. With enough coin left in the coffers for the mudguard I'll certainly take it.

I can return the favour on collection as well, meet you at Birch services for example.

No probs. Likewise, I'm hoping to make a good start swapping the front on Sunday, just trying to borrow some axle stands.

Happy to meet there or the Ripponden/Saddleworth junction is pretty much half way but we can sort that again.

Re: Pointy Front End Parts

Will bow out on the front wheel. was only using it as a spare, and now looking at a street triple (although i may not be able to afford it) Thanks for the offer!

Re: Pointy Front End Parts

No probs. I've amended the list.

Sorry just realised I hadn't answered ill be in touch.

I'll most likely have some bar ends up for sale too. Very likely making a start on the swap this weekend.

M65 09-03-13 02:48 PM

Re: Pointy Front End Parts

No worries. Good luck with the swap too.

The front lines, are what set up are they? 2 lines, 1 to each caliper or 1 line to 1 caliper, then another over the mudgaurd to the other caliper?

dirtyred619 09-03-13 03:17 PM

Re: Pointy Front End Parts

It's 2 lines 1 to each calipers either side of the mudguard, when I'm done ill post better pics up of everything.

Made a good start today got the new front on just need to sort my clip ons and controls out, fill and bleed brakes and re install the clocks and plastics, so all being well I should be done tomorrow and you can have the lines whenever you want.

I'd prefer to sell both together really as I don't want to end up stuck with just one.
