Radweld?

Anyone have experience with Radweld, my radiator has started peeing on the floor so bought some but want to know if it has any negative sides to it before i use it?

Edit: I think so, seems to be peeing out the middle of the last row of fins.

Didn't work for me. I also tried JB weld, didn't work. Ended up buying a new one from Aaron radiators.

Only works on small pin holes I reckon. I tried it on the tzr's radiator when the mounting cracked. Didn't do a thing

Better than radweld, it was recommended on another motoring forum. I used it to cure a leak in a coolant pipe on my campervan, so it does work.

I know the SV service manual says not to use such stuff.

I got a profesional Radiator repair for £25 when this happened to me.

Just checking it wasn't something simple like a split hose or a loose clamp...

replacements are about £180 for a beat to crap one from america. Looking for a temp fix till i can save up for a radiator.

I've used K-Seal in the pas to fix numerous problems, I can highly recommend it! Never had any adverse effects.

in that case and depending on where its pizzing out, take radiator off sand the effected area and then use some 2 part liquid metal such as jb weld. do not use the one part stuff as its hopeless. leave the epoxy to cure overnight and don't sand down to make it look pretty.

Pattern part from Aaron radiators, 150 quid. One of the fan bolt holes was a little out, but not a problem.

One of my family businesses was radiator repairers and builders.

If we ever got in a rad that had been subjected to sealants, we refused to attempt repairs as we could not guarantee the core would be free of leaks after our repair (undetected pin holes).

To repair, we would identify the faulty tubes by acid bath soak to clean then air/water testing, remove the tanks, solder closed the damaged tube at either end and then refit the tanks. Followed by pressure test, fin alignment and repaint.

Attempting to simply close the hole externally was a complete waste of time.
