Hello from new member

Just made the decision to get an SV650 to get me back on 2 wheels and I pick up an 01 half faired model tomorrow afternoon from my local bike shop who are servicing and mot'ing it before collection.

Just been looking round the net for an owners manual to familiarise myself with the bike and found one PDF document but it seems to be incomplete. Anyone know of any links at all?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Not sure about the manual. Just fine the same thing after 15 year break. Welcome to the forum fella. Appears to be a very good place for info thou.

Thanks for the link and the welcomes. Couldn't get it to download on my iPad or mac but hope that my bike will have the original owners manual when I pick it up. Have read through the PDF version I found but it seems to be a few pages short as there are items listed in the contents that don't seem to be included. Not to worry though I'm sure all will be ok once I have the bike in front of me.

Thanks again for all the welcomes. Finally collected the bike today. Bit of a delay as they had to get it taxed for me so finally got it home late this afternoon. Spent a couple of hours giving it a general clean and fitting my battery charger lead before heading out for a quick blat and a fill of fuel. This bike is wonderful! After almost 9 months since riding after getting rid of my short term ninja 600 and before that a couple of guzzis I honestly feel already that this bike could be a keeper. I bought this from my local bike shop without a test ride and found today that it has covered only 300 miles in the last 5 years! With only 9000 miles on the clock the dealer fitted a new chain, changed the brake fluid and serviced the brakes, new oil and filter and a general check over and she rides beautifully. I can see why these bikes are so popular, sensible weight, sensible running costs, and a sheer delight on real world roads. Will post pics when I get a moment but already I have removed all the stickers including an ugly tank protector and waxed all the paintwork, cleaned the wheels and frame but want to spend a bit of time detailing the corners. There's a bit of finish damage but after all the bike is 12 years old, but she seems very solidly put together. Love the curvy retro look and shall sleep well tonight as I think I have made the right choice for an all round daily user.

Finally secured an original owners manual in excellent condition for my K1 curvy from Ebay. If anyone needs specific info from this for their bike I'd be happy to help out.

What do you need to know about the bike?

Throttle is on the right :)
