Tips for cleaning textile jacket needed

Does anyone have good tips on how to get the dirt off the white parts? I washed my jackets several times, soaked, scrubbed, used Vanish (even though I believe you're not meant to) and still looks grubby.

Have you tried baby wipes? They work wonders on leathers... Cheapo ones with no balm or oil added are ideal.

You are generally meant to avoid soapy and/or aggressive detergents on textiles as it knackers the waterproofing. I use the Nikwax twin pack - costs about £10 for the two bottles which should last a few washes. Wash it first with Tech Wash, followed by a wash with TX Direct to restore waterproofing. Not sure you'll ever get rid of really ground in dirt on white textile though

You're probably not supposed to but I've chucked my textiles in the washing machine after I've used them for off roading. Not had any problems since, still waterproof too.

White is not going to be factory fresh.
You uesd to be able to get this lot.

.Not sure if you want to try them.
Do a good job on leather not tried the textile service.
My RST I just used Soap Flakes (Dreft) 40'C.
Then use the Granger's to re treat.

Thanks guys. Sorry for delay, I haven't logged in for ages. Forgot. I have been recommended Nikwax before although I haven't tried it yet as I've been scrubbing and soaking in Vanish with no results. I wasn't sure if Nikwax is just to restore waterproofing or whether it will actually aid a little bit to remove this dirt as I feel like a tramp and this jacket isn't even old. I guess I'll have to try Nikwax as I have no other options. I did think about tippex LOOOL

Nikwax will do next to nothing in terms of brining the white back, it's not designed to be a strong detergent if vanish hasn't worked then you'll probably just have to live with it.

There's not going to be much that can remove what is basically oil, mud, tar, whatever crap exhausts pump out and just general grime all mixed together that's well worked into a fabric.

with leathers there's obviously a slightly better chance of bringing them back to new looking as it's not as porous ad dirt catching as textile.

Just get used to looking like a biker I suppose.
Plus side is you don't want to look like a "fair weather" biker and weekend hero. Show other road users you mean business... not afraid to get down and dirty.
I think I may have become all unnecessary in that last statement and need a lie down.

Regarding waterproofing after washing, i've brushed on a few coats of Grangers Fabsil which is a water repellent and it worked quite well, causes water to bead off
