If they're dressed properly, yes.

jonboy 18-07-05 08:03 AM

I never nod to scooters unless they nod first. And as most of them would lose their lid if they nodded (perched atop their head) that thankfully doesn't happen too often  .

F**K Me Boots

and no I dont have any before you ask

Captain Nemo 18-07-05 08:20 AM

you shouldnt nod at scooters, if they wanna be in the gang then theyll have to get a real bike, its for their own good.

i lie actually if i see someone on a super scooter like the big engined ones i nod, youve got to have respect for someone prepared to commute and do 100mph on a bike that has wheels the same size as the ones on my lawnmower.

a pair of boots worn, generally, by a lady (ahem), approx knee high, occasionally thigh high, but the phrase come from the myth that if they wear the boots they're up for a portion of man love

keithd 18-07-05 09:33 AM

and no i dont nod at scooters. 125's only if they look like they mean it, anything less than that cc gets nowt from me.

SVeeedy Gonzales 18-07-05 09:40 AM

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Generally I don't because they never nod back, and don't seem to understand the whole nod thing. Have had 1 returned nod and 1 nod without my nodding first. In 2.5 years of riding.

I've voted no, but I have to admit I nod to bikers when I'm driving my car and yesterday I was on my bike and nodded someone going the other way on the m25.

Mikey G 18-07-05 07:57 PM

I will nod to allsorts, but i will only nod scooters if they look decent and look likely to nod back. I have found the most arrogant of bikers to be the american types with there big chopper style bikes, they never nod but just seem to sit back ignorant to everybody else on the road (no offence to anybody here, just seems to be the ones i come across?)

sv4me 18-07-05 08:28 PM

I appreciate some scooter riders are arses and dont deserve a nod but why do some say theyd never nod to one? :? arent they still on 2 wheels? how would you like it if sports bike riders didnt bother nodding to you cos you ride a 'girls' bike

We all have to start somewhere. I rode a 50cc scoot when I was 16,maybe I rode it like a plank at times but thats cos I was young and didnt know any better. You learn after nearly getting splatted by a bus for the 15th time! #-o For every :toss: on a scoot thats just using it for a year before they get themselves a Nova or a Honda Chavic, theres those who want to move upto bikes when theyre older

And the reason why some dont nod is because they either a. dont know about the nod because theyre new to biking or b. dont expect it. when I ride my dads t-max I suddenly become invisible to most bikers so dont bother turning my head when any come past

Plus when I was 16 and a biker gave me the nod it made my day :D

So next time nod ya miserable *******s :P

Except if theyre wearing trackies

falc 18-07-05 08:56 PM

I never nod to scooters, I dont consider it a proper bike and its a possible benefit for them to upgrade to a big bike, so they get a proper nod from a biker :D

sv4me 18-07-05 09:03 PM

](*,) because you cant have a 'proper' bike at that age! and I think more kids are likely to want to upgrade if theyre acknowledged by bikers and feel encouraged.

I know I did :D

falc 18-07-05 09:10 PM

Well all the scooters i encounter are ridden by ***kers so dont feel the need to nod. Same applies if I see an idiot only wearing a t-shirt and shorts on a litre sportsbike. Im just picky

sv4me 18-07-05 09:16 PM

Thats fair enough. I'll still nod though,I think its upto them what they wear

I guess im easy

falc 18-07-05 09:18 PM

Yer each to their own really.

What i find annoying are large group of bikers, how you suppossed to nod to all of them without getting neck ache!!! I tend to tilt my head and keep it tilted to all of em have gone :D

sv4me 18-07-05 09:23 PM

 yeah I dunno if theres a definite technique to it. I tend to nod to the front one then soemwhere near the middle and then the back one! :?

If you nodded to all of them theyd be thinking youve got a nervous twitch! :takeabow:
