Who else is going this year :)

Me and the better half will be there and probably a few non biking friends too.
Will be nice to know who to look out for.
I would take the bike down but the other half refuses to get on the back so It'll be the train for us :(

Just booked Metallica in Wembley too, expensive month =p

doubt it............... not impressed with the line up , not at £160+ a ticket

Re: Download 2007 - Donnington

I'll be gettin the train up on either the wed or the thurs. And can't wait!!
Then got black label and ozzy about a week and half after, which should be pretty damn good.
Oh, and it always seems ridiculously hard to meet/find people at festivals too...

Re: Download 2007 - Donnington

It's not the best they've ever had and I'm a bit gutted they put Maiden up last so It will make getting back a pain but I'm sure it will be good anyway and I'm still hoping they improve the line up in the coming months.

And yeah it's hard enough finding the guys you went with let alone a random but it'll be nice to know if there is an .org contingent present all the same :)

I'll be the guy in the mosh pit with a huge super soaker if it's as hot as it was last year!

:pukel:

I didn't go anywhere near the things in 3 days and I have no intention to this year :)

Thankfully years of Airsofting has taught me how to prepare for events like this where you won't have anywere safe to "go".

Re: Download 2007 - Donnington

If they'd make it a half-decent 2-day festival instead of a stretched-thin 3 day effort, I'd probably go. If they made it an ace 1-day festival I wouldn't miss it. But there's never enough quality or depth in the bill for 3 days IMO.

So I'm off to T in the Park and Reading instead. Nine Inch Nails on the big stage in the dark, get in...

I used to love gettin in the pits, but just lately can't really be bothered with them, just prefer to either get to the very front, or be just behing the pits so I can pay more attention to the music.. :???:

Is everyone going for the whole weekend? I really, really want to go.

Been to other festivals but have never been to Download and promised myself i'd go this year but don't have anyone to go with *sniff sniff*

Does anyone have room in their camp for me to tag along and compare bruises? :grouphug:

I have my own tent!!!! [-o<

Very jealous! Have been wanting to see Within Temptation and Marilyn Manson for the past 5 years :( I don't think I'm hardcore enough for festivals anymore though...

Saw Metallica at Reading 2003... Not really into them myself, but I enjoyed it all the same :smt083

I WAS AT LEEDS THAT YEAR!!! Saw Metallica headlining on the Friday i think it was? Linkin Park Headlined the Saturday? It would have been the other way round for you guys in Reading. Oh, and you are never too old for festivals!!!
I've gone ahead and booked a weekend ticket to Download. Even if i end up going by myself, there's so many people there i'm bound to end up chatting to some like minded nutter! Sod it!!!!!

Yep that was it, Metallica on the sunday night, before the ceremonial burning of the tents! What a scorcher of a weekend it was!... I was in the pit for SOAD! I can't believe it now looking back!

I'll assume that tickets are no longer available?

If not which days are Slayer & Megadeth on? Would be cool to see them.

Went to Donington back in 1991 when AC-DC headlined. Drung the break before Metallica I clambered up to the top of a human pyramid & was promptly the target for all sorts of missiles. Eugh!
