More Sprint related mishaps! Somebody up there really doesn't want me to have this bike...:mad:

Went out for a spin on Sunday, just got the urge real bad! Anyhoo...nice wee blast about up to Callender and back via Crainlarich.

Just started to do that really dangerous thing where I start to think " you know the Sprint aint so bad, maybe I should hold on to her for a while...maybe wait and see how I feel about it next summer". When SPLAT a fookin pigeon cracks me on the noggin at 70mph!

Lidds buggered, side panel thingmy bobs are gone, visors damaged, top vent has been ripped off, and a wee spring from the visor mechanism is gone. Not to mention it's a single use item which just absorbed a 70 MPH whack.

Household insurance doesn't cover the lid...

Has anyone here ever tried to sue a pigeons next of kin?

That's one thing that freaks me out, animal strikes... At least you stayed on though! What sort of lid is it? If it's an Arai, send it in for checking, it might be OK...

Was a shiny new Caberg Justisimo. Nice lid if a bit noisy. Either way it's 150 notes down the pan... Have to go back to the crapy roof lid.

They hurt don't they, I had one hit me when I was doing 90 square in the front of my visor. Helmet OK, but I got rather a sore neck and a head ache.

Hi Scott,
Suspensions been better, I've got the preloads right in, and backed off the rear damping a bit. But dropping the tyre pressures a few psi made the biggest inprovement.

I decided to sell the Sprint, it was never the right choice for me but my heart overuled my head after a test ride. If I can't sell privately soon I'm just going to take the hit and trade her in.

It may be a while before I can afford another lid. Am just going to make do with my old one for now. Will see if the whole new bike thing frees up any cash.
