i'm quite sure the front tucked under braking because of too much pressure? my fault which ever way i look at it:(

Re: my field trip

Hey Daz, thats a real bummer, but it looks like you came away ok from it. I guess your collerbone went under initial impact of hitting the ground, then luckily no more injuries from the fence. Such a shame to see a lovely bike all bent, but don't beat yourself up too much about the fault issue, we all have lapses, I am still cursing myself over mine. Heal soon!

As I said to Pete the other night, and will say again now, when we came round the bend and saw you in the field, I first thought that it was just some random biker. It was a real shock to realise it was you, because you hadn't been riding recklessly.

That wire does look scary - cant imagine what would happen getting limbs caught in that lot.

Glad you're starting healing, and keep us posted on the bike etc. I know you said you wanted a 650, but it's a bit harsh, getting a broken collarbone to get one. :p

How did you not break your clutch lever, i droped mine in the garage and it pinged off... sigh. That was some good handy work there! well done!

I still dont get how you managed to ride all that way after waiting around so long too, how long was it from accident to home?

And DavieSV, who provided expertise, gaff tape and, most importantly, Hobnobs!

DoubleD also provided several pints of blood.................never seen anyone cut himself so much!:D

I thought I'd cut myself too until you pointed out it was DoubleD's blood. He did bleed everywhere (sorry DoubleD but your fingers just seemed to be in the wrong places at the wrong times).

I'm still quite impressed with the bodged gear lever. Although with it being a thou', I suppose you could go almost everywhere in third gear.:p
