Night ride testing the kit

First time i have really got to test the new kit in the weather conditions they should be used. I wore what i will be wearing throughout the winter this year tonight on a 40 mile bimble, was out for around an hour or so, just got back. Wore a pair of dodgy old tracky B's 1 tight t-shirt and a long sleeved next top, then over these my new textiles that do have a winter lining(non removable) The temp here apparently atm is 9 degrees, i find that hard to believe - it felt a lot colder. But needless to say the kit does its job and i was air and heat tight and i was happy as larry, still wore summer gloves though :D My Supertech boots are good for it too. So all in all a happy chappy.

I have a 5am ride to croft in a fortnights time, and it was reading 3degrees on my cars gauge at that time yesterday morning:(

Iam going to have to put on so many layers under my textiles, they are generally ok but dont zip together so the back rides up a little.

My summer gloves arnt that great either in the cold.

The two finger things i have(that hummmm lol) from HG were £16, they obv dont have armour on them but they keep me warm.

My trousers are Spada :p they were the first thing I bought, in hindsight I wish I had bought the spada trousers with removable lining as they are blooming scorching.

I pondered on the Spada jacket but my shoulders are pretty broad and it didnt fit right (nothing ever does:(), so went for an alpinestars (summer)jacket which luckily has a removable lining but is only really for the summer anyway as its not that waterproof.
