Re: SV refurb questions
It's a Warrior. Not sure where I got it from, but I just had a quick look on-line and Demon Tweeks are doing them for £40. I think I paid £28 for it so there may be deals out there. It's rock solid and comes with different sized pins, so it should be suitable for most bikes.

Re: SV refurb questions
Head finally drilled off the offending mudguard screw. Then a nut welded to the stump which screwed off neat as you like.
Neither of which was done by me - its good to have talented friends with huge, fully-equipped workshops !!!! Painting time next ..... |
Re: SV refurb questions
A mere 3 months later and the SV is back together again. Forks have new springs, oil and paint. Wheels have new paint. Need to organise braided cables, a hugger and an end can. Happy (and surprised) it's gone so smoothly thus far - thanks to Haynes for that !!!
Here's a before and after - Before (quite a bit before, actually - the forks were still cosmetically ok at this point) http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...103_132021.jpg After (not bad for a bike that'll be 10 years old in September) http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...d%20Wheels.jpg |

Re: SV refurb questions
Andy, it's just the standard cowl. Maybe the angle makes it look different ?
