Thought we might try something a bit different this month !!!

'Every Picture Tells a Story'
So lets hear the story behind one of your favorite photo's that you've taken.
Pics can be on any subject. (forum rules apply) ;)

This is one of my favorites of all the pics I've ever taken although TBH it's really not that great of quality photograph.
Still somehow it does manage to capture the spirit of riding. (at least for me)


One of a hundred or more taken that day, every other shot was absolute rubbish.
Taken while riding with one hand and taking pics with a small digital camera with the other (Yikes! Don't try this at home kids!)
all at a blistering pace of approximately 30 mph (LOL) while trying to lean the bike as far over as possible.

So while it looks, even to me, as a bike burning up the road, and that's what I was after, it was actually a slow speed awkward ride.
Funny I seldom think about that when I see it.
I too am drawn in by it's illusion of speed.
I can almost feel the bike leaning. LOL




I do have better pics with better stories, but not on this laptop. :(
So I look forward to better stories and better pics from you lot.

We visited the Tandragee Road Races in 2015. The weather on the Friday was glorious, but Saturday race day was atrocious.
The temperature was hovering around 5 degrees, it was blowing a gale & raining. I love my road racing, but only lasted 2 hours before jumping back on my bike & heading off back to the hotel.
This chap however was settled in for the day. Crouched by the wall, next to the track, pipe lit waiting for racing to start A true fan in my eyes.

Just as i was getting into bikes
Saw this guy performing all sorts of tricks and thought wow that looks danger.......
Oh that looks like that will hurt
Fair play to him he got straight back up and kept on going

Yeah this is something i would like to do
