Renthal bars - cut them down?

Hi all. I'm putting some Renthal 758s on my 2005 650N. Because they're black, mostly. They're a good 5cm longer on each side than the stock chrome bars. Should I cut them down to length? The 650 isn't a heavy-steering bike anyway, and I'm worried about my throttle and clutch cables being too short.

Any insights?

"loose fit" the controls and grips then make sure that they are working correctly then cut the renthals.

DONT cut the nibs off the switchgear. wrap some electrical or masking tape to the bars then "nip" the switchgear screws up when in place. this will put indents into the electrical/masking tape so you know where to drill the holes for the nibs.

Thanks Bibio. Yeah, I'll mock them up first then. The stock bars were honestly fine width-wise, so it makes sense to have these more or less the same.

its a ballache fitting longer renthals as it requires longer throttle and clutch cables never mind that you have to undoo the connectors for the switchgear to get the extra length. i know all too well whats involved as i have done a good few comfort kit conversions over the years.
